The Treehouse is a romantic, secluded, stilted cabin on the water on the waters edge with private beach. The whole Treehouse is made of 150 year old barn wood recycled from a barn that was falling down on the property. This gives it its rustic natural feeling. You are truly one with nature here. For your comfort there is a Screened in room with daybed, plus master bedroom, outdoor fire pit, and bbq, with deck for dinning overlooking Lake Ontario. Private tennis court available.

The space

You will feel like you are alone in nature tucked into the trees at the waters edge with no one else in sight.

Guest access

The Beach Waupoos, 60 acre in easterly Prince Edward County, has 3 separate, unique and private rental opportunities. These are The House, The Beach House and The Treehouse. Renters of each space do not have access to the other parts of the property to allow everyone to have their privacy.

The Treehouse sits alone on the westerly edge of a point of land sticking south into Lake Ontario.

Interaction with guests

I live close to the property and can be reached by phone. If you want me I will be there if you don't you won't see me or anyone else.

This place is the most wonderful oasis. It's literally steps from the lake; falling asleep to the sound of the waves is indescribably wonderful. The meadow is full of beautiful wildflowers and butterflies. It's an easy jaunt to town or to a farm stand to get supplies. Great biking on the peninsula too. Highly recommended.

The treehouse is a truly special place. Serene, beautiful little slice of heaven right on the water. Judith greeted us wth warmth, and treated us like family. The most incredible place to escape.

The Treehouse is a unique & inviting space. It is perfect if you want a secluded, quiet getaway amongst the outdoors. The waterfront is spectacular, with a lovely deck to sit out on, as well as a separate spot to access the water to swim. The Treehouse is definitely an open air concept, so make sure you take warm clothes for the evening or in case the weather turns. Communicating with Judith was easy - Judith is a wonderfully warm, welcoming & engaging woman.

You won't believe how spectacular amd secluded this property is. The treehouse itself is absolutely adorable and provides every necessary amenity except laundry and a kitchen. Judith was a wonderful amd responsive host, and when we identified a problem, she came immediately and said she'd take care of it. She greeted us with some local ciders and pastries and told us we could see as much or as little of her as we liked. She said if there was anything lacking to let her know and she would help us out. The location is peaceful and beautiful, right on the lake. There is a private deck for you to watch the sunset, but we enjoyed doing it from inside the screened in porch of the treehouse. The bed with the mosquito netting is as cool as it gets. This property is rustic, and by that we mean, as an old barn there are mosquitoes, wasps, and other vermin common to rustic cottages and barns. If you are allergic to any insects, or are freaked out by insects, we would recommend you not staying here. The toilet and outdoor shower are cool, but are quite far from the tree house, and you are open to mosquitoes on the trip to and from at night.

If I could rate Judith's place higher than "Great" I would! This place was the perfect spot for my husband and i's "minimoon". The location is perfect - a little further out from the busier sections of the county. The communication and directions from Judith to get to the Treehouse were great and very easy to follow. Once we got there we we're greeted with fresh baked goods from Judith which we enjoyed over our 3 day stay. The Treehouse itself is so unique - it's the perfect blend of rustic, charming, romantic and tranquility all rolled into one. We enjoyed the outdoor shower, cooked breakfast on the brand new BBQ and dined on the deck overlooking the water. If you're looking for the perfect prince Edward county getaway and want to do something a little different than the standard hotel/inn, THIS is the place! We cannot wait to come back!!!

We stayed at this adorable little cottage during a long weekend and had an excellent time. The house itself is beautiful and cozy, and the location is easy driving distance from a multitude of wineries and other amenities. Judith was very accommodating of our arrival schedule and provided lots of information on using the various parts of the property. I would definitely stay here again for another luxury weekend treat.
