Where you’ll be

Nashville, Tennessee, United States

The Germantown/Salemtown/Buchanan Arts District area is the hippest part of Nashville. This area has been under renovation and gentrification for the past few years and this area attracts the successful professional crowd in Nashville. The streets are a mix of brand new construction, beautifully restored historic cottages, and homes that might be in disrepair but most of those are slated for renewal. It is a very exciting time in the city's history in that the success of the Broadway strip has meant an exciting renewal for all of the downtown neighborhoods such as the one you are in. The cool vibe of what's happening, including the diversity of people and cultures in the downtown area, especially this part of downtown, has attracted the successful young professional crowd and the best restaurants/coffee shops/shopping in Nashville! And your unit is only two minutes uber away from the center of it all! On top of it, you are only three minutes from downtown starting with the famous Nashville Farmers Market, and only 7 minutes drive to the Broadway action! Most of my guests leave their car parked on the street in front of the house and take a $6 uber downtown to save the $30 downtown parking fees!

Only Two Blocks Away here in Buchanan Arts District:
Slim and Huskies--Famous Pizzeria that let's you "make your own pizza;" super popular and it's really good!
Mai-Bee's Southern Cuisine--Delicious real southern experience!

Also only a few blocks away--
High-end Fashion/Design Studios:
Nisolo
Emil Erwin--luxury leather goods, accessories, furniture design
Otis James--cap and necktie designer
Annie Williams--luxury leather goods including handbags, totes, wallets
Camellia Fiber Company--collection of handspun yarns and luxury fabrics
Kidd Epps Art Shop--specialize in handcrafted contemporary furniture, decor and lighting
Salemtown Board Company--handcrafted vintage-style skate boards

Must Do's in Germantown (all of the following are only 2 minutes uber ride):
Monell's--Southern Soul Food served at communal tables. A Nashville tradition for decades! All you can eat meatloaf, fried chicken (oh man! is the chicken good!), roast beef, amazing vegetables, biscuits, and real southern iced tea! They also serve an amazing breakfast!
Rolf and Daughters--classic menu items with an original flair, awesome food. Hip industrial and elegant atmosphere with excellent service.
Fifth and Taylor--fine dining, one of the best in the city; reservation recommended but not necessary. dress is business/casual.
Butchertown Hall--one of my personal faves. Gastro-Pub serving up the best beef brisket you ever had, along with other BBQ dishes. BBQ dishes with a gourmet flair. Gotta start with the cheese dip with chorizo!
Red Bicycle Cafe--crepes with sweet or savory! Yum! Very special place.
Germantown Cafe--elegant, great food, great service!
Silo--quaint atmosphere, great service that defines the neighborhood, great food!
312--great Chicago style pizza

All of the above are excellent and you cannot go wrong with any one of them. The last four listed are all in the core village at about 4th Ave. and Madison, a cute little village at the heart of Germantown.

also:
*****Barista Parlor******
see collector motorcycles while drinking international selection of coffees and teas, in a cool coffee shop converted from an old garage.

I am a Nashville native with 30 years of successful experience working in management in the hospitality and service industry. I also happen to love people. I believe in both work and play it is always important to treat others as you wish to be treated. I also believe that after making sure you are always respecting others, it's all about having a lot of fun! I love to travel myself. I have visited and/or lived in Brazil, France, England, Germany, Argentina, and Mexico. I love good food and wine and fun things to do with groups of people, and I have always appreciated those friends who have guided me in the cities where I have visited/lived. Good restaurants and good friends have been my priority--I have always made it my goal to discover the best food at the best restaurants, but then also discover that "hole in the wall" that has amazing food and a fun atmosphere for a fraction of the cost. My experience as a traveler and work experience in the hospitality industry has translated to me as an Airbnb host that I understand the details and their importance when it comes to staying in short-term housing and needing guidance to enjoy a new city. Born and raised in Nashville, I love my city and I love to share it with others. Whether you want to stay in Five Points or you want to venture out into the different areas of town, I can guide you to the best neighborhoods and restaurants and to all the fun things to do, whether it be site seeing, biking, wine tasting, nightlife, or other. I meet guests upon their arrival if possible or I will send very detailed instructions for self check in, and then I am always available by phone to make sure they receive a proper welcome and get settled to their satisfaction. Furthermore, during your stay I am always available to answer the phone to help you with whatever you need.
