Historic 1912 home in Rockland, just steps to Craigdarroch Castle, Government House & a short walk (20 minutes) to downtown, Parliament Buildings, Empress Hotel & waterfront. Just a 10 minute walk to Victoria’s Antique row, and a 5 min. drive to the US ferries in Victoria’s Inner Harbour. Beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated with everything needed to make yourself comfortable and cozy. The perfect place to call home on your month or longer visit to Victoria.

The space
Built in 1912 by the then Sheriff of Victoria, this character home is rich with the history of Victoria. Beautifully renovated, bright, light, super clean and spacious, self contained 1 bedroom suite. Modern clean lined furnishings blend seamlessly with the original character including gleaming reclaimed fir floors & coved ceilings. Fully equipped gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Everything you need in a kitchen- toaster, microwave, pots and pans, coffee maker, tea kettle, French press, etc. Large dining area and separate bedroom with queen sized bed. Washer and Dryer available for those staying a week or longer. Perfect for 1 or 2 people. Very private suite overlooking the lush and secluded perennial garden. Enjoy coffee on the large deck - birdwatching is free!!! (so is Wi-Fi) Fabulous setting in one of Victoria's oldest neighbourhoods - Rockland. Prime location for sight seeing on foot with many fabulous restaurants close by.

Guest access
Off street parking on the property available for guests ( no extra charge!). Just come under the porte cochere and park just past the garage. There is one spot available for the suite. Oversized vehicles will need to use the resident street parking (no pass is necessary). Please do not park in the driveway or block access for other vehicles.

Other things to note
There are some stairs (7) to the suite, so sorry-not wheelchair accessible. Washer and dryer available.

Rockland is one of Victoria's oldest neighbourhoods with stately mansions & gorgeous gardens. Very quiet & peaceful neighbourhood, yet only a 5 minute drive to downtown & local beach or a leisurely 20-25 minute walk to both. We have lots of local (walkable) restaurants to recommend to you.

Enjoy a self-guided historic walk through the beautiful neighbourhood (tour/walking map provided). Visit Craigdarroch Castle (National historic site) just down the street. Continue onto the Lieutenant Governor's "Government House" and enjoy the stunning gardens. The Victoria Art Gallery is also within a 5 minute walk, along with Victoria’s antique row on Fort Street.
