About this listing

Lovely light-filled, artistic, private, quiet, two-level studio apartment with full bath and kitchenette located on an organic farm in a beautiful country setting, just 3.6 miles to downtown Ashland and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Enjoy a private garden and views of the trees and mountains, as well as original art made by your host. We offer organic and upscale amenities and use only eco-friendly and healthy cleaners.

The space

This is a spacious and bright 400 square foot private studio apartment. There is a bedroom and a full bathroom. The bedroom contains a very comfortable Tempurpedic queen bed, luxuriously appointed with cotton linens. There is also a closet and skylight. The bathroom is beautifully tiled, with a full tub and shower. Enjoy dramatic views of Mt. Ashland from your bed or from the comfy couch in the living room. The space is decorated with original works of art made by your host and contains all the many amenities you will need for a memorable visit. The apartment has a private entry way and an enclosed garden patio with a covered porch and outdoor seating.

The kitchenette is equipped with a sink, small refrigerator, convection toaster oven, blender, coffee maker and electric tea kettle. There are plates, glasses, mugs, bowls, wine glasses, silverware and basic cooking utensils. An induction burner for light cooking and a crockpot are also available. We want to provide everything you need to make you feel at home!

This romantic apartment is located on an organic farm. After a day at the theater or seeing the sights, you can relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the private garden or watch the sheep or goats grazing in the front meadow. We have been told there is no better place to watch the stars in the night sky than from our five-acre paradise.

In season, share some fresh organic produce with us or try some of our homemade jam. Fresh raw milk, eggs and homemade butter from our farm are also available for an extra charge. We are Weston-Price friendly and also make farm fresh fermented foods, available for an extra fee. If you would like to join us during milking time, please let us know in advance so we can make arrangements.

We are very conscious of our health and yours, and only use 100% cotton linens and towels, which we wash with non-scented, chemical-free detergent. The space is cleaned only with eco-friendly and healthy cleaners.

Please let us know if you would like to visit the artist's painting studio!

Guest access

There is a parking area with a pathway to the private apartment. The apartment has its own separate enclosed garden.

Interaction with guests

Hosts live in a house close to the studio apartment. We are available to provide whatever you might need to make your stay more enjoyable, but are also happy to give you complete privacy!

Other things to note

I provide my guests organic coffee and milk, as well as organic teas and sugar.

I love to recommend restaurants and places to hike!

Beautiful, open space with private outdoor courtyard to enjoy the location. Abby was a great host and accommodated our need for an extra bed for a small fee, she was very helpful. She also set us up with French press coffee which was so nice to enjoy in the morning while admiring the farm. Would recommend for those seeking a more private, peaceful location while also having quick access to downtown Ashland.

This private "cottage" is adorable, very clean, and beautifully located in the country with easy and quick access to Ashland. The bed is very comfortable, though a bit squeaky when you first get into it, as the frame is tight against the box spring. The private patio was wonderful and we sat at the outdoor bistro table each of our 5 nights. We wanted privacy, and Abby was the perfect host for us! Everything seemed new and in excellent repair. Good shower. Awesome air conditioner. Great coffee and organic cream provided. Next time we stay in Ashland, this will be our first choice.

Response from Abby:
Thank you again for staying with us. You were great guests. This is the first time I have heard of the bed squeaking and will look into it right away. So happy you enjoyed your experience here and look forward to your return!

Abby's place is divine. We really appreciated her artwork, the beautiful counters, tile and lighting; the photos don't do the place justice. The bed is comfortable and we loved the private outdoor seating. We'll be back!
