Our dog friendly family cottage is surrounded by trees on a quiet Lake. Lake is 10 feet from cottage. If peace and tranquility is what you are looking for then you have reached your destination. If you are into catching the big one this Lake has lots of fish that are hungry. Cottage has been updated throughout with new kitchen, bathroom and living spaces. It is the perfect escape from the city to create beautiful memories with your family and loved ones.

The space
Our cottage is on a very private lake with very few neighbours. The lake is very quiet with no large noisy watercraft vehicles.
The cottage itself has a rustic warm decor but with all the modern amenities. It s not a huge cottage but sleeps 6 comfortably.
Cottage is right on water with not a lot of stairs.
It has full sun all afternoon as it faces South.
Windows surround all the walls of our cottage so you have views from all sides.
It does not have AC but with the tree canopy, windows and with the ceiling fans are cottage does remain well below the temperatures from the outside.
If you love to fish or swim the lake is full of fish and the water is warmer than most lakes as it is not a very deep lake.

There are 2 bedrooms
1 queen bed in one
1 queen/double bunk in other
2 pullouts one in living room one in Den, double size.

kitchen is fully stocked including spices

We have 2 adult kayaks, 1 is a fishing kayak
1 youth kayak
peddle boat
paddle board
canoe
fishing boat ( available for extra rental)
must have boat license.

Note: please bring your own towels
and extra bedding for the pullouts if using them.

Guest access
Once you arrive at cottage there is a covered entry that leads you to the door into cottage. Access code will be given closer to arrival.

Other things to note
Please bring your own towels during your stay.
I provide 3 hand towels and face cloths for bathroom but larger towels you must provide.

I also provide 2 rolls of Costco Toilet paper but if you think you need more please bring. Unfortunately guest have abused the use of toilet paper and seem to think it is theirs to take home.

I will provide sheets for the main beds but please bring extra sheets for pullouts.

Please if you have your dog up, pick up after them.

If wanting to have a fire please follow the Town of Magnetawan fire warnings.

I will provide all quests a detailed cottage manual for you to all read before your stay. It lists everything you need to know about cottage.

Most important create lots of memories, unwind and just let all your worries drift away.

Neighbourhood highlights

There is only one neighbour on either side of cottage but at a good distance. Hughes Lake is a very quiet lake. Not many cottages are on this lake. Road is level and easy to drive to cottage
