The space

Our elegant, comfortable home reflects our passions for New Orleans living. Our home has hardwood floors throughout and 12 foot ceilings and ceiling fans, as well as central heat and cool air conditioning.
Your entrance to the house is through the side hallway, leading to the very spacious and quiet guest room which includes a queen size bed, large closet, Wi-Fi, mini-fridge, Cuisinart coffee maker and an area of the room with a corner table and chairs where you can have coffee, use your computer, etc. A lovely bathroom is directly off the bedroom. Through the shared contemporary kitchen, which can be used for light cooking, there is a lovely room overlooking the garden with a big comfortable couch, table and chairs that you can use at any time. There is a private driveway adjacent to the house for your exclusive use. Our bedroom and living quarters are in the front section of the house with its own entrance.
Marc is an established musician and teacher and I have worked as an art dealer and gallery owner in the Arts District on Julia Street for many years. There is beautiful, original artwork throughout the house by many notable national and international artists, some being available to purchase as I continue to work in my field as an art consultant.
Behind the house is a patio and garden where guests can enjoy their morning cup of coffee or relax in the garden after a day of touring the city.

Guest access

There is freedom to access most of the rooms in the house and we encourage our guests to view the artwork and feel relaxed in our home. There is access to the garden patio through the contemporary kitchen and lovely garden room. The large couch, chairs and table in this area are available for our guests to use and enjoy; read a book, use your computer or just relax looking out at the garden area. The kitchen is available for light cooking. We encourage our guests to make yourselves at home!
Take a ride on the bicycles, explore the great tree-lined neighborhood, walk 3 blocks to Oak Street and go to a cafe, trendy or very local restaurant, shop for well designed home furnishings, get a new or used book, or walk to Audubon Park.
Your private room and bath area with desk and chairs, refrigerator, etc. is large; approx.
295 square feet, with 12 foot ceilings and a very comfortable bed.
There is only one guest bedroom in the house.

Jeanne, Miki and Mark are great hosts! I was greeted as soon as I arrived, my room was ready with a coffee keurig, muffins and a mini fridge with water and yogurt. Their puppy Miki is a 10 yo chihuahua mix that's no bother at all. The room is so spacious and comfortable with high ceilings and it's own bath. And the house is close to everything! Hop on the cable car (a $3 day pass) and it'll take you down to Canal st which connects you to the french quarters - which is a short walk or the NOMA, Xavier and Audubon Zoo. Ask Jeanne anything and she will point you in the right direction or offer to take you! I lost my wallet and these hosts went above and BEYOND to help me, I can't thank them enough. I really felt at home and will DEFINITELY stay here again when I return to NOLA.

The best of the best. Felt right at home and the pics doesn't give justice to the magnitude of the sheer Beauty of the house. From handcrafted soaps to super plush soft sheets, the house is true New Orleans architecture. The location is prime! The St. Charles is less than a minute walk which will take you right to the french quarter on a breath taking ride through New Orleans most stunning mansions. Huge money saver. We will be coming back. The hosts raise the bar on hospitality. We drove in from Houston right after Hurricane Harvey and they called us to see if we were ok. Also, they have a very sweet Chihuahua that greets you. Thank you once again for a perfect vacation.

This was our 2nd time at Jeanne's place and once again it was wonderful. She and Marc are warm and friendly and helpful. The place is spacious, charming, clean and has all the amenities that you need. The bedroom and bathroom are both large and tidy. Jeanne responds quickly to all questions. They are just a few blocks from shops and restaurants, yet the house is very quiet. We highly recommend this place and we already have plans to come back again.

I stayed with Jean while taking my daughter to college and we thoroughly enjoyed her lovely home. The room was very nice, large and very comfortable. The private bathroom was also very nice. Having a driveway to park in was also a plus. I will definitely be returning there in the near future.

Great hosts. Warm and welcoming. Beautiful spacious room, lots of original art to enjoy, roomy bathroom, very comfortable. Shared space is nice. too, but we weren't there enough to utilize. The garden/patio area looked very peaceful and inviting. We will definitely consider booking again if we need to while visiting daughter at Loyola.
