Guests love this home’s scenic location.
The Blaeberry Cabin is 20 minutes from Golden BC in the rural and peaceful Blaeberry Valley where time stands still, with interesting characters and wildlife abound. We have an authentic Swiss Chalet and a Guest Cabin on 11 acres. You are surrounded by mountains, with a view of the Rockies in the back and of the Purcells in the front (including a view of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort), with the Blaeberry River across the street.

The space
The Cabin is rustic, but clean and super cozy. Built with lumber from the region by Bruno the former original owner and Swiss ski instructor. There is a table and chairs on the sunny front porch, and a table in the shade at the back of the cabin too.
The kitchen has a regular electric stove and oven, a mini-fridge with small freezer compartment, a coffee maker, a kettle, cooking and eating utensils and dishware, a kitchen sink and a small table.
Forest, mountains, rivers and farmland are yours to soak in and explore.

Guest access
A meandering road into the property which has only the 'Blaeberry Chalet' (made of logs), a small barn and the 'Blaeberry Cabin' (wood, not logs). The guests are welcome to enjoy the entire property and go beyond up the hill into thousands of acres of crown (government) land. Drive right up to the Blaeberry Cabin by keeping to the left of the driveway when continuing past the Blaeberry Chalet.

Other things to note
There is limited cellular phone service in the cabin, the signal is best in the driveway. There is usually good WiFi in the cabin, but it's from the cellular phone signal (LTE) so it isn't as fast as fibre internet in a city. There is a TV, only for use with DVDs or to plug in a laptop.
You can hear the horses on the neighbour's property. There is lots of wildlife to enjoy, with deer often grazing daily in the yard.
