Explore Jaffna from this convenient guesthouse, centrally located in a quiet, green part of town. Price is for the family bedroom with one double bed, two single beds and attached bathroom. A/C is optional.
We've stayed in Joseph's many times when visiting Jaffna. One of the older guesthouses in Jaffna and centrally located, it's a really convenient spot to use as a home base when exploring Jaffna town. It's got 8 rooms, all with attached bathrooms and there's a shared dining area on the first floor. There's free parking, a little library and even wifi… what else do you need?
Interaction with guests
Mr. Joseph, your host, worked for a number of international non-governmental organisations during the war, so this man speaks perfect English and has more stories than he cares to tell. Retired, he's been hosting guests for years now, together with his wife and two assistants. They serve breakfast and dinner (no lunch), can take guests on tours in their tuktuk and they rent out bikes. Last but not least, Joseph loves his 3 friendly dogs, which you're sure to meet when you're there.

Neverbeen offers a wide variety of rare homes off the beaten track, from fisherman's huts and tree houses to heritage homes and tea estates. Our team hand-picks and visits every home and meet all hosts to make ensure guests have a positively memorable stay in places they've never been.
We provide travellers and home owners in challenging locations with access to one another, by offering communication services, online marketing services and tourism training, so that locals can make a living off their home and travellers can get to stay in places they have never been.
As such, Neverbeen works for a world in which everyone has the chance to earn income by renting out their home, regardless of language, internet access and tourism experience.
In Sri Lanka, Dishan manages our growing group of homes in cooperation with our scouts, while Rohan creates listings and provides service. In Amsterdam, Marten works out international growth plans. Our team of in-house programmers is constantly developing the platform itself and Ernst & Young does our finances.
The first country we're active in is Sri Lanka, a beautiful country with many undiscovered places to stay. Due to it recently having opened up to tourism after decades of conflict, it is a great place to start and pilot the Neverbeen concept. We plan to expand to ten countries before the end of 2017.
