Beautiful area
Guests love this home’s scenic location.
‘Mum's place’ sits at the bottom of our garden on the Mill stream running off the river Brue
Sit and watch the wildlife by day, kingfishers, buzzards, woodpeckers and beautiful deer just opposite. Dog walkers and visitors walk along the mill stream and will stop for a chat if you would like. We are part of Dark Skies UK so by night with little light pollution the sky comes alive, not only with the stars and moon but with bats and the local resident owl if you are lucky.
A definition of serenity.
The space
‘Mum’s place’ was built in memory of my dear mum Marilyn. It sits at the bottom of our garden and can be accessed via the side entrance of our house. There is plenty of parking on our drive or on the road. It’s a 5 x 3 metre cabin made lovingly by myself and my husband Kev.
The cabin is also totally accessible with step free access and mini wet room with a grab rail.
Guest access
There is a path which begins in the front garden by the hay cart. Follow this up the side of the house, through the wooden gate and up the ramp to the cabin. The lock box is near the door of the cabin.
Other things to note
Lizzy is also the owner of Lizzy's cakes, an honesty cake shed which sits in the entrance of the front garden. Please feel free to preorder cakes of choice, let me know of any dietary requirements.
We have a small black dog called Doris, named after Doris Day and two cats; one black wild killer called Pippi and one fat dopey whiteish one with visual impairment and special needs! She’s Puddin. They may come and visit during your stay to say hi 👋
Please contact me if you would like a mid week break as we offer a third night free if you are staying from Monday or Tuesday.
