The space
. Large lounge / dining room with oak- beamed ceiling, large flat screen TV, with Freeview, DVD player, stereo with CD/cassette/radio Well equipped oak kitchen, dishwasher, kettle, microwave, fridge, halogen hob, electric fan oven & toaster. 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) with exposed beams, unique floor windows are the arch of the old barn doors. Bathroom with white suite, over-bath shower and shaver point. Double glazed and oil fired centrally heated, wireless enabled. Patio and garden to the rear, with views over the valley; courtyard for parking at the front, rear garden gate leading to open fields. Heating and electricity included in the rent - bedding, towels and welcome pack provided. Pets are welcome at £10 per pet per stay - no pets upstairs or on furniture please, stair gates are available

its quiet but shops in the village only a mile away and a small town/shops within a ten minute drive. The views are beautiful at all times of year. Roads fairly quiet. plenty of footpaths and we have local maps. near Fountains Abbey and Studley water gardens which is the National Trusts most visited property . Beautiful moorland on Dallowgill and Hackfall woods. Ripon Cathedral Race course canal market square spa gardens and dont miss the Ripon hornblower who sets his watch at 9pm EVERY night on the square. You can follow him on (website hidden). A tradition never broken for hundreds of years.
Kirkby is a lovley village with small shops including a very good butchers. Galphay Inn a lovley village pub which serves good meals just a mile away.

Catherine Raw and I run a small farm with my sons and also 5 self catering holiday cottages which are in converted barns on the farm which is on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
