Convenient location if you are looking for somewhere not right smack in the middle of town. The price is good too. Must be OK to climb stairs and not overly fussy about bugs.

Chan is a very helpful host :) Upon our arrival, he gave us a lot of travel tips and useful info to travel in Ipoh. Due to some unforeseen reasons, we missed our train on the last day. We had no choice but to ask help from Chan. He straight away gave us another room to rest without the slightest hesitation, though that time we already checked out from his homestay. I feel very grateful and really appreciate Chan's help. Else we will have to carry our luggage wandering in Ipoh town for another 10 hours. Ipoh is a beautiful place filled with kind-hearted people :) Will definitely come back to this lovely town :)

I wasn't overly impressed with this listing- there was an empty bottle and hairs on the ground suggesting that the room hadn't been that thoroughly cleaned before we arrived. The furniture was modern and smelled new which was nice but the mattress felt like a piece of wood- we'd literally just come from sleeping in a cave in the jungle and it was a close call on comfort! There's also no window so the room feels a little claustrophobic. Additionally, 3 out of 4 showers in our floor were not working, although there may have been more showers elsewhere but I didn't go searching. The security was good; two keypads plus two locks on each room door so you never felt like there was any security concerns, and there's a 24 hour laundry service downstairs and next door which is very useful if you're doing prolonged travelling. Location isn't great- most of the interesting things are in the old town which is a 10-15 min drive away, and there's one decent restaurant across the road but that's it really! The host was easy to contact and very friendly, and he gave us perfect instructions on how to get there and loads of info on good places to eat and what to try when you're there- that was really good! Overall we were underwhelmed because it advertises as a cheap, budget place to account for things like getting you to make your own bed etc, but it wasn't actually that cheap! We've been to much cheaper places before and since on this trip which included a lot more!

The host was quite friendly even though we didn't have much time to talk to each other. The place is good in terms of location. Quite easy to find and is near to bus station and restaurants. The atmosphere of the place is also great, with people came from different places chit chatting with each other. The room itself is less satisfactory with loud noise in the night and leaking pipes. A big disappointment for me is that the shower was not working. If everything gets fixed, it's still a good place for a short stay.

A very private system like explorace and treasure hunt, clues, codes and instruction very clear and straight forward. Nice stay, clean and tidy. Nice furniture .. Keep it up. Good amenities hot shower + cold aircond.. GREAT..

I love travelling, meeting people and chatting, food, knowing more living styles in different countries. I like to relax and on slow mode when travel.
When travel, i need basic budget accommodation and believe there are many of you are the same with me.
