Welcome to Norm's Cabin, an experience in partnership with Algoma Highlands Conservancy. Nestled in the heart of nature, this beautiful remote off-grid cabin offers a serene retreat away from the hustle and bustle.

Located amidst the pristine wilderness of Algoma Highlands, Norm's Cabin is accessible only by hiking, biking, or paddling. This means you'll embark on an adventure from the moment you set foot on the trail to this secluded, off-grid haven.

The space
Norm's Cabin is an off-grid cabin on Bone Lake. The property is nestled in the Algoma Highlands surrounded by trails. Guests are required to hike or bike approximately 10km to access the cabin. Your Host/Guide will shuttle your gear directly to the cabin if it is possible to paddle on Bone Lake, guests must be able to help carry their gear the last 2km to the cabin if weather does not allow paddling.

Norm's Cabin is completely off-grid. There is no indoor toilet, only an outhouse in close proximity to the cabin. There is a propane stove, lights, and fridge. There is a woodstove for heat and water is brought in by Hosts/Guides for drinking only. Dishes can be washed with lake water.

There are two bedrooms - both with a stunning balcony view of Bone Lake. The first bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a single bed + a queen bed. There is also a futon in the main living area if extra space is required. Bedding is supplied.

Guest access
This is a remote off-grid cabin. It can only be accessed by hiking or biking into the site. This journey is approximately 10km.

Assistance is available to carry your gear into the cabin so that it is there when you arrive, provided it is possible for your guide to paddle in your gear.

In the event of inclement weather, you will be required to help carry your gear the remaining 2km to the cabin. Please pack your supplies accordingly.
