Loved the apartment! Very tasteful, clean, and as described! Tikia was very quick to respond to my questions and very clear on any instructions I would need during my stay! Parking was a snap! I never was very far from the building and her place allowed me to keep an eye on my ve…

Tikia is a superb host! I did not have the opportunity to meet her; however, the doorman provided the key and she remained in contact with me throughout my stay. The apartment is very comfortable, spacious, and in a lovely central location. I had an excellent stay!

We had a very good time in Tikia's apartment. It was very comfortable, light and in a nice area. We could move along every place of the city, thanks to the bus (just in front of the house) and the metro (15 minutes walking).

Nice two room appartment with a balcony. I did not meet Tikia in person, but they key was easily obtained from the doorman. Shops and metro are a 15 minute walk away, but the bus is almost in front of the appartment. I had a great stay at Tikia's place.

The apartment was spacious and had so much natural light! Bed was comfy. Location great. Host easy to get a hold of. Only two things that may be an issue for some, is the dumpster is cleared real early and is very loud. And they seem to turn the elevator off at night. If you wak…

Response from Tikia:
Actually, there are 3 sets of elevators in the building. Lulu must have relied only on the back entrance, which shuts down at night for safety reasons to force nonresidents to go past the guard. Two additional elevators are in the lobby of the main entrance. As for the garbage truck, I can't control that, but I've never had any complaints before and the aesthetics of the view more than compensate. (Having lived in NYC for 11 years, I guess I'm immune to the occasional city clamour.)

It is a spacious apartment for DC, and it was only a ten minute walk from Columbia Heights. The apartment was quaint with a very personal touch and lots of photos, and it has a nice balcony. I never met the host, but we didn't have a problem getting situated. It was perfect for o…

With the exception of the smoking bit, everything Michael lists is fully disclosed in the ad and the welcoming info I prepared and forwarded to him, after he asked to extend his stay for longer than his original request. With regard to smoking, I have noticed it very rarely in the bathroom, but it is the chance you take living in a huge building. As for the kitchen, I cleaned out shelf and refrigerator space for them. The pots he refers to were in fact washed (I have a dishwasher). I just hadn't used them in a while. My apartment is an older apartment, as I disclosed, with antique furniture, and several full size options, if it wasn't enough room for two people to frolic, lol! I'm surprised Michael had these things to say, especially about the kitchen. At the risk of being defensive, I noticed many stains they left behind on the stove, but I figured, hey, why be picky. Additionally, upon using the stove when I left, some lingering burnt smell emanated from inside. I also had to trash some of my veggies because someone turned the knob on the freezer all the way up. Lastly, there was crust and long strands of hair all over the bathroom. But why be picky? Anyone else reading these comments, please verify through the other great reviews I've received and given other people!!!! As Michael concedes, it was a great price, so I'm not sure if he was expecting the Waldorf, lol!
