Enjoying nature is the main occupation here. It is the river that gives this place it's magical vibe and brings a wide variety of wildlife and birds to the surrounding area. Trumpeter Swans, Great Blue Herons, Song Birds, Eagles, Osprey, Otters, Beavers, Muskrats, Mink, Geese, Ducks, Squirrels, Chipmunks, Turtles and yes even a couple of harmless snakes are all happy to call the island and the surrounding river home during different seasons. (Do not interfere with the wildlife and they will not interfere with you.)
A motorized peddle boat ride at sunrise or sunset is absolutely magical from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving. The grounds are full of flowers and birds chirping and the sound of the waterfalls makes this an ideal spot to just kick back and enjoy.
