Old Theatre Inn sits on a hill above the Shaxi Valley, an historic market town on the teahorse caravan road in Yunnan China. The Inn was originally a theatre temple for local performances and has since been restored to include five guestrooms. The theatre is still active, with an ensemble of village elders who play traditional instruments of the Bai minority people who inhabit the valley.
Guestrooms all include ensuite bath and separate toilet, with lots of natural light and traditional furniture and textiles.
Dinner is served from 5pm to 7pm, the main gate is locked at 10pm unless requested to come back late.
