I have made sure that the caretaker (who is not a full time) has cleaned the house daily and refilled the items mentioned in our property description with different means of monitoring technology, checklists etc. Cutleries like plates, glasses, spoons, forks, mugs, knifes etc are provided for 6 people and utensils for making tea, noodles and very basic cooking are only provided.
Blankets, pillows, towels etc. are available in the three bedrooms for 6 guests. I try to provide any additional items like pillows, blankets, bedsheets or towels based on the guests requirements made during the time of booking, however don’t promise our guests which I can’t provide as I don’t have storage room like in the hotels. Loaded Water dispenser is provided and each room has a water bottle which the caretaker fills up every morning when he comes for the housekeeping. Microwave is in perfect condition as I checked the status with other guests who stayed after Mr Anish.
There are no electricity outages in Goa as such and therefore I haven’t installed a power backup. I have never received any complaints regarding electricity outages from our guests so far. However, I shall evaluate this and install an inverter if the need arises.
Mr Anish along with his guests stayed in our property for 4 nights (3rd Oct- 7th Oct). I was happy to host him and cater to his needs of giving additional keys of our property which I have never entertained. The additional keys were not returned and few of my souvenirs were missing. Mr Anish left 2 hours after his promised checkout time without informing me or the caretaker and left the original apartment key under the mat leaving the apartment unlocked. I am still wondering how he stayed in my apartment unhappily for 5 days and 4 nights without even raising any concerns during the stay. All the issues arose when I personally asked him about the spare key and the missing souvenirs.
I don’t have a full time caretaker, but my caretaker has a bike and stays 5 minutes away from the property. He is generally very prompt in answering his phone and reaching to the apartment in case of any immediate help. I have always had hazel free guests who are very clear on their requirements and we take pride in hosting them. We have described our apartment with its amenities to the best and we request our future guests to know thoroughly on what we offer.
