Welcome to our loft studio In Methven. A serene retreat nestled above the our detached garage building with its own entrance separate from the main house. This cosy self-contained space offers a blend of comfort and convenience, perfect for your getaway. Charming sloping sleeping and views to the racecourse and mountains. Fully equipped the studio features its own shower room and kitchenette (ground floor) for your breakfast needs. Ample parking is available on the property in front.

The space
The loft is above our garage building separate to our house. There is an entrance door to the right hand side with staircase (steeper than your average) leading up to the loft. It has sloping ceilings so the head room will be reduced in places. Downstairs there is a hallway with a recessed kitchenette and under the stairs is a shower room with wash basin and WC.

The property is situated in a one acre section on the Thyme Stream development which is 2km from the centre of Methven. Thyme Stream, has been designed around the creek. Local school children, families and the Methven Lions Club have extensively planted its banks in recent years. Locals and visitors enjoy the adjacent walkway which forms part of the Methven walkway network. Beautiful mountain views can be enjoyed from here. Ample places to stop, sit and enjoy the stunning scenery can be found on the walking route to the township.

Guest access
Our loft garden has not yet been created, we have a hardstanding adjacent to the entrance for guests. You are welcome to use our washing line.

You will have exclusive use of the loft during your stay with easy parking outside to come and go with ease.

Other things to note
Its a loft above our garage building with dormer windows, sloping ceilings and a steeper staircase with slightly smaller treads so please take care. When you book you agree to holding the handrail on the stairs. Please contact me if you want to add a baby or child to your booking as we are mindful of the steeper staircase.

The property is situated 2km from the centre of Methven.

Occasionally we can lose power due to extreme weather. This is rare but it is something to note when booking as these moments are out of our control.

We have gas hot water, should the bottle run out the spare bottle can be switched over, please feel free to do so if we are not around.

The heater on the ground floor should not be turned off at the mains.
There is a security camera directed at our driveway entrance.

Note: On occasion we may need access to our garage below whilst you are using the accomodation but will keep this to an absolute minimum.
