House a few blocks from everything happening. Be close, yet maintain privacy and seclusion. 5 min from bars and restaurants in E Austin, 10 to downtown. Watch the sunset surrounded by trees on the 30-ft wooden porch. No immediate neighbors!
This is our personal property. My girlfriend and I recently moved in together, allowing us to rent my old home for your stay. Please be considerate of our property and neighbors. All neighbors are lovely and we know them all personally. Feel free to have a good time, but nothing too loud too late. Party in the rear yard as opposed to the front, and enjoy the space!
No smoking inside. A $500 fine will be taken out of your security deposit if we smell smoke in the house upon checkout. Smoking is permitted on the back porch and rear yard – but as Texas issues ‘burn bans’ during periods of high dryness all lit butts MUST be deposited in the designated receptacle.
Please leave doors locked, back door curtains drawn, and hallway light on
when not at home. The house is wired with ADT security- it will not be activated during your stay but will still serve as a deterrent. Please come and go freely without setting the alarm.
oPlease remove household waste and empty into the brown trashcan outside on a daily basis. Austin has a lot of tiny critters and we’d love for them to stay out of the house!
oAdditionally, please do not leave ANY trash outside, especially food and drink containers.
oRecycling: Under the sink there are both garbage and recycling bins. Left for trash, Right for Recycling. Austin allows all recyclable items to be grouped together (papers, plastics, glass, metals) so you may place ALL recycling into the same bin.
o Please utilize this great service and help keep our ecological footprint as small as possible. Place your recycled waste into the blue container outside on a daily basis.
•After dark please be courteous to our neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum. There are a lot of families and long time locals on this street that are used to living symbiotically together.
•Please keep doors and windows closed at all times unless they have a screen. Again, Texas is buggy. Prevent them from getting inside!
•Please strip bed sheets and leave in one pile in the front bedroom.
•If the pullout couch was used please fold it back into place.
•Hang up all wet towels in the bathroom.
•Take out any trash to the outside bin.
•Please run the dishwasher prior to leaving – we’d greatly appreciate it! If you have any questions please ask.
•Make sure all lights (except the hallway) and fans are off. Close back door curtains.
•Leave both keys on the side table in the dining room and lock the doors behind you when you leave. We charge $50 per missing key.

Frequent traveler by choice and trade. I'm exceptionally good at sleeping while traveling, which is probably why I travel so much. More comfortable on a bus, or train, or boat, than most beds. My girlfriend lives in constant fear that upon any signs of settling, my wanderlust will call and I'll be off to sea. This is great news to all you hosts, because AirBnB gives the perfect opportunity to travel to new places and meet wonderful people there. See you soon!
