We are renting out our lovely Victoria home in Streatham, South London. 3 bedrooms consisting of a master bedroom, a spare room with a double bed and a nursery with a cotbed and a children's bed. We also have a spare travel cot and everything else you need if traveling with children.
The house style is contemporary, eclectic and quirky, full of new and vintage pieces, with books piled high in most rooms (in both English and Danish). End of a quiet leafy road rows of red brick Victorian terraced homes of historical significance - great if you want to be charmed by 'the real London!' :-)
We also have a lovely cosy garden with garden furniture, parasol and BBQ. .
Excellent transport links.....
Only half an hour from Gatwick Airport by train, all other airports can be accessed easily via public transport via train and (website hidden) Pancras International/Kings Cross direct train only 40mins. Central London Connections
Streatham Common Station is at the end of our street with fast connections to London Victoria, (Buckingham Palace) London Bridge and West London (including Shepherds Bush for Westfield Shopping Centre- the largest in Europe).

2 min walk to our local park, Streatham Common which has a beautiful garden called the Rookery one of South London's hidden Gems. Lots of green spaces nearby - the main reason people choose to live South of the River Thames! (compared to built up, Claustrophobic North London ;-))

Our house is located near Streatham and Streatham Common Stations. The area has developed a nice local community feeling in recent years and with that quite a few new pubs and cafes have opened. A two minute walk away you will find Streatham Common Park, but best of all - at the top of Streatham Common you will find the Rookery, a charming little garden and great views over South London. Shopping is convenient with a large Sainsburys three minutes walk away and a Tescos five minutes walk
There are very frequent trains to central London from both Streatham Common and Streatham Station. Getting to Streatham Common from Gatwick Airport is easier by train than taxi and only takes about 35 minutes.
Other Things to Note
There is on street free parking
The ususal stuff, no smoking indoors, be respectful to our house and our neighbours,
Not a party house.
Hi! our stay was perfect. House big and very prepared for kids with plenty of toys.
Supermarkt and big park just 5 minutes walk. Station 7 min away with direct trains to Victoria Station each 15 minutes
We had an incredibly comfortable stay in a truly gorgeous home. Louise was very helpful - answering our little queries promptly and providing everything we could possibly need. We were in lovely neighbourhood - close to several supermarkets, places to eat and to the tube / bus routes. The journey into London was easy and there was also lots to do nearby, including the Common. We felt safe walking back at night and had a peaceful stay.
Super tolle Unterkunft. Ganz liebe Gastgeber.
Though I didn't meet Louise and Shaf but I felt so welcomed at the house. House is so cosy and well decorated. Location is good since it's close to two stations. My stay was flawless and really enjoyed it.
We had a wonderful time in London, and the stay at Louise and Shaff's home was just perfect. We brought our two kids, and their grandparents also came to stay, so their home was a great space for all of us as a base to stay in London.
The kids were delighted with all of the toys, and Louise and Shaff left us a very generous hamper full of provisions for our stay.
The beds were very comfortable, and their home is tastefully decorated, warm and welcoming.
In all, this house is a great offer for any family wishing to have a base to stay in a very accessible location in London. We would have had to pay more than 3 times the price had we stayed in a nearby (cheap) hotel for the same period.
Finally, Louise and Shaff kindly offered their home to us for an additional night at their cost owing to the traffic and transport disruption caused by localised storms. Had we not planned to stay with friends, we would have taken them up on their very kind offer. They didn't have to make us this offer, but to receive it from people we have never met was a wonderful gesture.
We had a very short stay in London. House was good match for us as we had 3 adults and 2 small kids. Boys enjoyed toys to play with :) House is very spacious and stylish. Lovely hosts! Easy to commute to the rest of London.
Thank you very much!

We're a couple with 2 young children, Alia and Hannah. Lou is Danish and Shaff is British (of Indian Origin). Lou is a social worker and Shaff is a Children's Service manager and the founder of community sharing website (email hidden). In our spare time, Lou makes handmade children's clothes (scandi style) and Shaff makes documentary films. We like to keep busy and take the children out a lot.
