Our house is located near Streatham and Streatham Common Stations. The area has developed a nice local community feeling in recent years and with that quite a few new pubs and cafes have opened. A two minute walk away you will find Streatham Common Park, but best of all - at the top of Streatham Common you will find the Rookery, a charming little garden and great views over South London. Shopping is convenient with a large Sainsburys three minutes walk away and a Tescos five minutes walk
There are very frequent trains to central London from both Streatham Common and Streatham Station. Getting to Streatham Common from Gatwick Airport is easier by train than taxi and only takes about 35 minutes.
Other Things to Note
There is on street free parking
The ususal stuff, no smoking indoors, be respectful to our house and our neighbours,
Not a party house.
My mum and Grandfather satyed at the house for the weekend and Louise was absolutely lovely - so welcoming and had bought some little welcome treats for them. She showed them around and made them feel at home right away.
The neighbourhood is lovely and only just over a 5 minute walk to Streatham Common station - and a huge tesco just around the corner in the other direction.
The house was lovely, and very clean! My relatives loved their stay and could not talk highly enough of the house and the family.
We had a great time. The accommodations were perfect fit r me and my 3 friends, we th enough room to sleep 4, a comfortable lounge, a well stocked kitchen, easy parking, and central location.
We felt quite at home in Louise and Shaff house. Cosy and confortable. The area is very calm, close to Streatham Common train station by feet. Very practical if you are coming from Gatwick airport and easy access to London center.
Listing description was accurate, loved the old Victorian features of the home as well as the modern kitchen. The neighborhood was not quite what I expected, but as this was our first time to the UK, I'm not sure how accurate my read of the area is. As a young woman, I would not have felt comfortable walking around the area alone at night. The house was adequate for the needs of our group of 4 though and at a great price. A train station located just at the opposite end of the block made it convenient to get us to and from central London. Overall we were happy with our experience, but next time we'd probably spend a little more money to stay in a nicer area closer to the center of London.
Hi! our stay was perfect. House big and very prepared for kids with plenty of toys.
Supermarkt and big park just 5 minutes walk. Station 7 min away with direct trains to Victoria Station each 15 minutes
We had an incredibly comfortable stay in a truly gorgeous home. Louise was very helpful - answering our little queries promptly and providing everything we could possibly need. We were in lovely neighbourhood - close to several supermarkets, places to eat and to the tube / bus routes. The journey into London was easy and there was also lots to do nearby, including the Common. We felt safe walking back at night and had a peaceful stay.
Super tolle Unterkunft. Ganz liebe Gastgeber.
