This is a really unique place, guys. Stay in the exhibition room of an artist's studio and shared apartment. Located in a quiet dead-end street next to famous Mauerpark, surrounded by Berlin's oldest hip district, Prenzlauer Berg.

This place is eco-fuelled. That means green energy, biological-products and a general hipsterish touch towards ecological living. Also I have my own herbs garden outside for delicious teas, salads or spices.

I am flexible & always happy to share this beauty

Guest access

In case the bell is not working, you can knock at the front windows, call or text and I'll come get you!

Interaction with guests

You will be sharing the place with me, when I am in Berlin. You'll have full privacy in your room, of course. Will be nice to actually meet you, and not only hand over the keys, since it is a shared apartment – but if you just want your space, you will totally have it. All the best and safe travels

We spent two nights here with a group of four. The apartment is in a quiet street but surrounded by plenty of restaurants and bars. Nils was very helpful from the start and made sure we felt at home and had everything we needed. Apartment is located conveniently either for public transport or walking.

Our stay at Nils place was fantastic! We really enjoyed the artistic appeal of the gallery and apartment in itself. The apartment is 20 minutes away from the city center by public transpo, but close to a lot of really good restaurants! Nils was also really helpful as he gave us a list of things to do/visit and places to eat at. We had such a wonderful time in Berlin!

Hi guys,

I am Nils, a freelance journalist and author. My aunt Anneli, who created this place and whose work I absolutely adore, is "the artist" we speak of in the title. it is also her atelier, studio and exhibition place.

Me personally I started to travel a lot via Couchsurfing and otherwise. that was a long time ago, six years I guess... I get the feeling Airbnb is the Couchsurfing for Grown Ups. My aunt has lived in the Namibian desert for years and years and managed her own travel lodge for tourists. We just started to host on Airbnb, but we are not newbies to "being a host". We are actually excited to meet some great people, share this beautiful place and make a little money on the side, you know, for the same reasons everybody on this site, I guess.
