Summerset on Savary is a centrally located, off-grid cabin minutes from incredible beaches, the general store, bike rental and the Savary wharf. Perfect for a relaxing get-away, our cabin is close to all amenities but tucked away on a peaceful, shady lane. The cabin is powered by solar and propane, is on the municipal water system and has a septic system. Well-behaved dogs are welcome!

The space
Summerset is a comfortable 3-bedroom cabin perfect for families or up to three couples. There are three separate bedrooms, one with a queen-sized mattress, the others have double-sized mattresses. One bedroom is located downstairs next to the living area, the others are upstairs and open into another sunny, communal space.

The main living area downstairs features comfortable leather couches, and stays cool on hot Savary summer days. There is a TV and Blue-Ray DVD player with a few DVDs available. (You are welcome to bring your own DVDs if you have them!) The upstairs living area contains a small sofa and comfy chairs, ideal for reading. There is also a small table and chairs perfect for games night as well as a cabinet with a few art supplies and board games for guests.

The well-stocked kitchen includes a full sized propane fridge and stove top. There is a full bathroom, including bath and shower, plus an additional outdoor shower on the back deck which is a fun way to freshen up after a day at the beach.

The cabin features a fully gated deck, perfect for relaxing on and watching the occasional eagle circle above, as well as a fully fenced back yard. Well-behaved dogs are welcome!

Guests have use of the whole cabin for themselves.

Other things to note
Summerset, like all properties on Savary, is off-grid and relies on solar, propane and septic systems. The solar will power basic electrical needs, but power should be conserved to maintain battery charge as long as possible. High-draw items such as hairdryers and toasters are not permitted as they will deplete the solar batteries too quickly. Only environmentally sensitive cleaning chemicals can be used with the septic system. Feminine hygiene products and excess paper products are prohibited from being flushed down the toilet.

Guests will need to bring their own linens, including sheets, pillow cases, towels and kitchen cloths, as laundry facilities are not available. Pillows, duvets and extra blankets are provided.

There is no garbage or recycling service on Savary, so guests are required to take all garbage and recycling with them off island at the end of their visit.

Dogs are welcome, but need to be under control at all times to avoid bothering other visitors and the many deer that roam freely. All dog waste must be picked up and taken off island with the other garbage. An additional $50 cleaning fee will be applied for groups bringing a dog.

The island general store is a five minute walk from Sommerset. It carries a variety of grocery items, including staples and some fresh produce and extra treats. It is a great resource for supplementing the goods and supplies guests bring for their stay.
