Make Keebler House your home base for exploration of Asheville's vibrant downtown, Biltmore House, gorgeous mountain hikes, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. This private suite of rooms has two bedrooms, your own full bathroom, and a downstairs living room (Cable TV, Roku, DVD) for you to relax in. Additional separate entrance. Free off street parking. Super location in a historic neighborhood- you won't believe you're less than a mile from downtown breweries, restaurants, and Biltmore Village!
Your own wing of the house with a separate entrance gives you privacy and plenty of space to make yourself at home. The suite of rooms includes two comfy bedrooms, a full bathroom, washer/drier, and a full downstairs den/TV room. Relax on the shared front porch (our favorite room in our "tree house") or in the garden around the fire pit. Across the street from a well-kept city park with tennis courts, basketball court and soccer field.
Guests have shared access to the main living room, kitchen, garden with fire pit, and front porch.
Interaction with guests
We respect the privacy of our guests. After greeting and getting you settled into your suite, just let us know if you have any questions. Feel free to join us on the front porch for a glass of iced tea and conversation or head out for your Asheville adventures.
Other things to note
Free off road for parking for up to two cars.
Our home has an electric chair lift leading up from the den to the main floor. You are welcome to use this if you need assistance with stairs.
The kitchen is available for additional breakfast prep or to pack a picnic or prepare lunch. We reserve the kitchen for our use in the evenings.
Roger and I are both teachers. He is partially retired and I teach English and theater at a small private boarding school outside of Asheville. Roger is a blues musician and I read, love movies and practice yoga. We both love to travel (I have traveled all over the world -25+ countries) and we both prefer to stay with locals so we feel like we have really visited that place. That is why we use Airbnb and love hosting people. A favorite big trip has been a summer in Lincoln College at Oxford, England while I finished the last semester of my Masters in English. Our dorm room at the top of Staircase 2 was right above John Wesley's room. Fun!
My life motto is:
I am equal to every person in that I can learn from them.
