Great location
90% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
This apartment is located in what used to be the hay loft in an 1882 Carriage House in Massillon Ohio. I love this apartment because they used a lot of the original materials of the hay loft to convert it into an apartment. It is so unique. It does have air conditioning and wifi.

You will park on the right side of the driveway facing the carriage house. I do not usually meet the guests. You will be given instructions on how to enter the carriage house. Thank you.

The space
The apartment is in the old hayloft of an 1882 Carriage House in Massillon Ohio on Historic Fourth Street. Great care was taken to use all the original wood floors, walls and materials from the original hayloft. A nice kitchen, bathroom with claw foot tub and shower, bedroom with a king size bed, a working wall mounted jukebox with current cd's and just a great space for a get away. I will add more pictures in the near future. I allow pets. There is 25.00 per pet per stay fee. Up to two pets. Pets must be well trained and cared for. Please crate your pet when you are not home.

Truly a 5 star location. I stay at many many airbnb's when I travel for business and this is definitely one of the top three I have ever seen in North America!

"I stayed in the Carriage House in late February in order to study for an exam without my daily distractions. My experience was more than I could ask for: the Carriage House is quiet, warm (in the warm fuzzy way–we have access to the actual thermostat), welcoming, and extremely comfortable. I was able to bring my ESA (Labrador) and my cat (must-have), which is a huge bonus for me. I am a history fanatic and was excited to read the synopsis provided on the Russell House and family. The “Historic 4th Street” in Massillon is a step through time. I enjoyed watching the passersby through the huge arched window facing the street while I sipped my morning coffee, imagining the hustle and bustle at the end of the nineteenth century when the Russell House was built. As was explained to me, the garage once was a horse stable and the Carriage House apartment was where the hay was kept. The feeling of barn and stables has been preserved through unique renovations. The rooms are separated by the stables walls, and the ceiling is vaulted and completely open. In the center of the vaulted ceiling is a lighted cupula. Everything was provided to me, except clothing, toothbrush, and toothpaste. The quaint kitchen even has a dishwasher. I will certainly be looking to the Carriage House FIRST when I have any other study or escape needs. Though I live close-by, I feel like my time here was a vacation". –Courtney

Massillon, Ohio, United States

This apartment is located on Historic Fourth Street. It is a brick road lined with historic homes from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. Beautiful homes that belonged to the movers and shakers of the time.
