🧼 This is a self-catering rental, so we’ll provide a starter supply of essentials (like toilet paper and detergent) to get you settled in. Once those run out, we kindly ask guests to replenish them as needed.
⚡This apartment is located in a historic part of Lisbon, where the electrical system has some limitations. If you use several high-powered appliances at the same time (such as the washing machine, hairdryer, toaster, water heater, etc.) the safety breakers may trip. This is normal — you have to go to the fuse box and switch all the breakers back on.
🔇Parties are not allowed.
🔊 We have a device in our apartments that monitors noise levels. It does not record conversations — it only measures sound/decibel levels. This helps ensure a peaceful environment for everyone.

✅ CHECK IN RULES

-The building and apartment doors are opened using a code. Before your arrival, we will send you a detailed self check-in instructions. Including all the necessary codes.

-The apartment will be cleaned and ready for you between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM.

-Unfortunately, we are unable to offer early check-in — the previous guests check out at 11:00 AM and the apartment is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for you. The only way to guarantee an early check-in is to book the previous night.

-If you prefer, we can also meet you at the apartment upon arrival! Show you around and answer any questions you may have. In this case, a late check-in fee applies: €10 for arrivals after 8:00 PM, €20 after 11:00 PM and €30 after 1:00 AM. This fee must be paid in cash directly to the person doing the check-in. Please note: in-person check-in may not be possible after 1:00 AM.

👋 CHECK-OUT RULES

-You have to be ready to leave the apartment by 11:00 AM! ⏰
-Please make sure that you carefully close the apartament door!
If keys are provided, kindly leave them on the dining table before you leave.
-Unfortunately, staying past 11:00 AM is not possible.

🔉EXTERNAL NOISE

-Most guests have no issues with noise. This is a calm area.
-The windows are well insulated - when closed the interior is quiet. But, as with any city apartment, some outside noise may still be audible despite the insulation.

🔧 OWNER ACCESS

On some occasions, authorized personnel may need to access the property for maintenance or other necessary tasks (e.g., the owner, building manager, cleaners, repair technicians, etc.). We will do our best to avoid this whenever possible.

Here you can really enjoy a genuine and less touristy Lisbon experience, although extremely central!

As I LOVE to travel, I started renting my Principe Real apartment to other travelers. I decorated it entirely for myself, with my big canvas and small drawings, just like the house where I live and where I entertain my friends. I loved it so much that after a few years I had a few more apartments! :) Now I manage my apartments together with my brother Luis. I want travelers to feel at home here and I am grateful for the messages, comments and wonderful Christmas wishes we continue to receive. It's the best recognition you can get. When I travel, I want to know, feel and experience other cultures, even if only for a while. We are part of a whole and we help each other to grow and, I hope, enlighten our horizons. I am a product of this world. I grew up attending a German school, but I lived in Portugal and it's part of a beach culture, with surfing and sports all around me. I have traveled extensively to Southeast Asia and Down-under as well as throughout Europe and Brazil and USA - NY, Chicago, S Francisco, Hawaii... I practice yoga, running and hiking and have developed my interests in Arts, Design and Architecture ...I hope that this cultural melting pot that makes each of us will really be shown in my apartment and that it will be a welcoming place for you to come back to after visiting Lisbon. I hope you enjoy living like a "Lisboeta" and bringing home the best memories. Health!
