The Stables at seagrasscottages is a beautifully presented converted barn in a rural hamlet, 7 miles west of the old market town of Leominster.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the heated outdoor swimming pool (open mid May to mid Sept) and tennis court.

We may be able to accept a visiting dog. Please ask before booking.
Everything provided for a self catering holiday.

The space
The Stables is in the courtyard of our 15th century home with parking right outside the door.
For the past 16 years we have been offering this delightful professionally let holiday cottage.
The bright living space includes a bespoke kitchen, dining area and comfortable seating around a log burner. Contemporary and interesting furnishings with a slate floor and vintage rugs.
The bedroom has a 5' zip link divan bed.
The modern shower room has a toilet, a large shower and basin.
All linen and towels are provided (but not pool towels)
During the colder months a complementary basket of firewood is also provided upon arrival. Guests may be able to buy further basket loads from us. We charge £4 for each additional basket load.
Freeview TV and WiFi is at The Stables.
The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, fridge (with small 4* freezer), microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
A supply of dishwashing tabs, washing up liquid and cloths, plus a few condiments, tea, coffee and sugar are ready for your arrival.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to use the heated outdoor swimming pool which is open between mid May and mid September. The pool is surrounded by terracing and there is a changing/shower room beside the pool. Next to the pool is an all-weather tennis court. Both the pool and the tennis court are shared with the family but we keep out of the way if you wish to use the facilities.
The views from the pool terrace are particularly lovely.
There is a gravelled patio which has outdoor furniture (during the warmer months) behind The Stables. which is for guest's use.
Guests are also welcome to relax in our large traditional wooden greenhouse which has comfortable seating and dining facilities.
We do have some land including a traditional cider apple orchard in which you are welcome to take a stroll. We do have a dog who is kept 'our' side of a gate and so will not bother you! We also have cats.

Other things to note
We have been offering The Stables to visitors for a number of years now, and the overwhelming feedback we receive is the peace and quiet that our guests have enjoyed. The only disappointment is they do not have enough time to do all the things they want to do!

Although we do offer an internet connection, please note that we are rural and therefore it may not be as fast as you may be familiar with! Some devices connect to the wifi more readily than others.

Should maintenance issues with the swimming pool crop up, we do reserve the right to close it if necessary in order to deal with any issues.

The Stables is cleaned to a high standard prior to your stay. We are now registered with Visit England's 'Good to Go' scheme which means we conform to a strict code of Covid-19 cleaning protocol. We just ask that you respect this and leave it tidy and in a clean state when you leave.

The Stables is available anytime after 3pm on your arrival day. Checkout is strictly 10am on the day you leave to allow us time to get the property ready for incoming guests.

Within a couple of miles you will find the lovely villages of Pembridge and Eardisland which have shops for everyday needs. The local market town of Leominster is 7 miles away and is fast becoming the 'antique shop' town.
Wonderful strolls, walks and views are in every direction.
Great places to eat from cafes and tea shops to pubs and restaurants.

I have lived in Herefordshire for 29 years now, after growing up in the south east. Herefordshire is a beautiful part of the world and the hamlet in which me and my teenage daughter live offers true peace and quiet, with no passing traffic. In-between work, I look after the gardens and can turn my hand to most things including making furniture! We both love playing tennis, and my daughter enjoys the pool when the weather is on her side! (I, on the other hand, am happy watching her swim whilst sitting with a cup of tea in my hand!) I enjoy socialising and interacting with guests as and when they want a chat. It's a pleasure sharing our home with guests!
