As advertised it is an old farmhouse on a small, pretty island, connected to the mainland by a little bridge. The house is old fashioned, a mix of different furniture but very charming. The bed in the master-bedroom is not as comfortable as expected, but apart from that the house was perfect for the five of us. It is located perfectly between Maloy/Vagoy and Selje/Stadlandet- Peninsula so there is a lot to see and to do within reasonably short distance. Olav and his daughter Jessica were perfect hosts, they showed us all around the island, showed where the best fishing spots were etc.. In addition we could use the rowing boat for free and the motor boat at reasonable cost (200 NKr/day). The berries around the house, which we could harvest, were very tasty, and we caught enough fish for every evening. The scenery on the island is beautiful, especially the sunsets are magic. Should we come to the Maloy/Selje area again, we would certainly stay at Olavs place again.

The place is the oldest house on the island and very well preserved and clean. It is enormous but was perfect for the 2 of us also. There is very few people on the island so the place is very calm, you can walk around within the sheep's and even borough one of the boats for a little ride in the bay. The owners were really welcoming and helpful and we had a really good time on the island. One of the highlights of our trip to Norway.

Clean, comfortable house. All conditions for children. Including in order to wash and dry things after a long journey. Hospitable and sympathetic host, nice conversationalist. Good conditions for fishing and recreation. Olav, we thank you for your cordial welcome.

This house is on a beautiful island in a very lovely part of Norway. We spent a couple of nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The house has a bit of a feeling like time has stood still there, and for us that added to the charm of the (URL HIDDEN) though we were staying in our grandmother's house except on an island in Norway. The walk around the island is fairylike and definitely worth doing, and Olaf kindly rented us his motor boat and our kids had a blast tooling around in that. We

My name is Olav J. Venø and I am the owner of Venøy Farm in Selje, Norway. I was a Navigating Officer in the Merchant Navy for twenty years and traveled the world before I took over Venøy Farm after my father. The farm has been in our family for 400 years and in my years of farming I farmed ecological wild sheep.

Today I am a pensioner, however I still have sheep and I spend my days fishing, working with our art festival and restoring the barn and the other houses on the island.

I live on the island in a house I built in 1976. The house I will letting out is the old farm house which is from 1899, however in mint condition. I will be available for information about the island and the surroundings.
