Peanut is our beautiful retro vw camper set in the heart of the Sussex countryside. Positioned in a lovely spot in our 3 acre garden, overlooking a pretty lake.

The space

There is a lovely sofa seat in the van to sit and admire the view which pulls out into a super comfortable large double bed. There is a hob and a grill inside and a cooking area outside too. Inside the van you have everything you need to be able to enjoy your stay. The fridge and bathroom facilities are in a nearby outbuilding (just a toilet and sink - please note there is no shower). Outside of the van and over looking the lake there is a pretty, lit seating area and fire pit with a good supply of logs to hand. There's also a covered gazebo.

Guest access

You are very welcome to use our rods and fish the lake (or bring your own).

Interaction with guests

My husband or I will be on hand to help you through your stay and point you in the direction of the best pubs! We like to leave you in peace to enjoy your stay but you can always come and find us if you need anything at all. You may have a small friendly Jack Russell come and say hello!

Other things to note

Please be aware that the van is in the owner's family garden. It is very big - 3 acres and although you have a separate area where the children aren't allowed to go, they do play in the rest of the garden from time to time.

Had a great time !!! me and my six year old son had a night away and thought this would be fun alternative to camping and it certainly was !!! Natasha made us both feel really welcome and even took us on a adventure with her boys into the woods which my son loved. I can honestly say this a great and unique place to stay, thanks Natasha and the boys x

The van was absolutely lovely. The location far exceeded our expectations, sitting by the lake next to the fire as the sun went down was incredible. There is a lovely country path that takes you to a village with really good restaurants and pubs. It was so nice we did it again for breakfast the next day! This place is the perfect retreat from London. Natasha and here husband were great hosts, really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be requesting to go back! Thank you for having us!

Beautiful camper van in a beautiful location! Great for one night away, but wouldn't have been ideal to stay for longer than one night due to the lack of shower facilities but this was made clear before booking meaning it was not an issue. Natasha and her husband were very helpful and made us feel welcome; they recommended local pubs to eat at, gave us a fishing rod to borrow to use in their pond and provided us with everything we could need for a comfortable stay. It was especially lovely to sit by the campfire in the evening!

By no stretch of the imagination could I possibly fault my time here. Natasha is the perfect hostess and went well beyond the call of duty to make sure my stay was as pleasant as possible. The camper van is absolutely delightful, and made for a really unique, magical escape from the city. I'll definitely be recommending it to all of my friends.

Me and my husband were made to feel very welcome by Natasha and her family and we had an absolutely lovely time staying in the campervan. Natasha went out her way to make sure we had everything we needed yet at the same time we had complete privacy. The location and surroundings were beautiful and we would not hesitate in staying again. Thank you Natasha and family for a wonderful, relaxing stay.
