Quiet cottage on 16 acres in the rolling hills of Tennessee. Would be a great women's or writer's retreat. 12 acres of hiking trails. 12 miles to Franklin, 11 miles to Leiper's Fork, 10 mins to Homestead Manor, less than 3 miles to Allenbrooke Farms and 35 mins to downtown Nashville.

The space

Our home is on a quiet road in the country and only 2 miles off the 840 highway so easily accessible to Nashville and surrounding areas. There is a Kroger Marketplace 12 mins away for your groceries.
Just pack your clothes and come make yourself at home. We have worried about all the little details. We have supplied all the basic necessities you should need during your stay including the dishwasher and washer tabs.
We have a variety of coffees, teas and hot chocolate for the Keurig and complimentary snacks, bottled water and an assortment of soda and refreshments in the fridge. There is a gas stove in the fully stocked kitchen. On the back deck there is a grill for grilling out.
We have Dish satellite TV and a DVD player in both the master bedroom and living room. There are a variety of movies and books on the book shelf in the den.
There is a treadmill in the master bedroom although the road is quiet if you want to go for a walk or run. And if you feel like going for a small hike there are 12 acres of trails accessible behind the house.
There is a fire pit in the backyard and there is firewood under the back deck for you to use.
We have flexible check-in and check-out times dependent on whether we have others who are checking in/out on those days in which case I will communicate this with you in advance.

Guest access

You will have access to the entire home.

Interaction with guests

I will be available to answer any questions you may have while you are staying here. If I happen to be out of town during your stay I will let you know ahead and have someone else available to help should an issue arise or to answer any questions.

Other things to note

We have an outdoor cat that needs to be fed daily. If you wouldn't mind feeding it (we have a container of food inside the door) that would be appreciated.

We came from Nebraska for a wedding and found Loretta's place to be very warm and welcoming. Loretta was a great host and the property gave us a great "Tennessee" feel. Thanks, Loretta, for a wonderful experience in the Volunteer State!

The house was even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. The decor was like something out of Fixer Upper. Everything was very comfortable. Sleeping in a sleep number bed gave me the rest I needed after sitting in traffic for 24 hours in our drive running away from Hurricane Irma. The area was so peaceful and driving along the rolling hills took a little getting used to (born and raised in south Florida), but by day 2, I was a pro, especially our trips to Walmart since we had an awesome kitchen to cook in. Sitting out on the porch to read a book with the beautiful weather and view was great. My kids loved rolling down the hill in the backyard and running around the open space. Their eyes were wide open when they saw the snacks and drinks that Loretta so kindly left for us. The drive into Nashville took about 45 minutes, but we only went once on our trip. The area the house is in was so peaceful, we just wanted to hang around there. There is a delicious custard place right next to the Walmart (about a 15 minute drive) and a few restaurants and a Publix grocery store as well. We also took the kids to one of the two playgrounds that we saw nearby and they had a blast. Everyone in the area was so sweet. Animals: Misty gray, the cat, was such a sweetheart. She's not allowed in the house, which is a good thing as my father, who was with us on this trip, is allergic, but gave my daughter an experience of owning and feeding a cat, which was perrrrfect. Seeing the ponies at the house across the street play with the dogs was a site I've never seen before, and quite enjoyable. And, every morning, turkeys would roam the backyard for their morning feed. Quite a site. The next door neighbor's horse always reminded me of the horse from Legends, one of my favorite childhood movies. Loretta was so helpful and very quick to respond whenever we had a question. We had issues getting to the house on time, so we were in constant communication. When we had to stay longer due to the storm, she was very understanding and we were able to stay the couple of days we needed. I would definitely stay at Loretta's place again and again for a country getaway.

This was the perfect retreat during a busy pre-wedding week. Loretta and her husband were very helpful and the home was very clean and had EVERYTHING you could ever need, including snacks. We would definitely come back to stay. Plenty of room for 8 people!

Our family gathered from 3 different states for a long weekend to celebrate a family wedding in Nashville. We did not want to stay in the city, so this house was perfect for us! It was a pretty easy drive in to the city from the house. It is a very country location and we love that! The house was fully stocked with everything that we could have needed, and everything was very clean. We highly recommend this place!

This place is beautifully decorated, Loretta provides lots of little "extras" and she answers all questions promptly...A little further out in the "country", very peaceful...about 35 minutes to downtown Nashville...Would definetley recommend!

My husband and I love living in the country and getting away from the chaos. We both love to travel and have stayed in many Airbnb's around the world so we decided we would love to offer a little of what we love to experience while we travel. We hope you enjoy your stay!
