Description

The space

We opened FU-SHA in September, 2007. We wanted to show people from all over the World the beauty, both natural and man made that Nikko offers.

We have an operating license.

This private Japanese style cottage has a small sitting room, a small kitchen, a large modern bathroom and can sleep up to 5 people. The rooms are Japanese style rooms with tatami mats and divided by fusuma(sliding doors). Japanese futons are laid on the tatami mats and they are very comfortable to sleep on.
There are a microwave oven, a toaster, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, an electric pot and tableware in the kitchen.
The bathroom has a big bathtub and a shower. In addition, there is an amazing Japanese high-tech toilet.

The cottage has a high speed internet( wireless).

My ancestors came to Nikko approximately 130 years ago and we have been living here ever since.
Therefor we have all the information on Nikko you would like to know and we are happy to share that with you.
We will happily provide a pick up from Nikko station.
The nearest bus stop, Nishi-sando(No 9), is 7 minutes walk from the cottage.

There are 3 car-rental company in front of Tobu Nikko station.

Great house, great communication and great host! Yoshiko san was super helpful, especially she helped me a lot to book restaurants during my stay in Nikko. The house is traditional, homey and well cleaned. The bathroom is spacious and toilet is hi-tech. My family enjoyed staying at the house so much. Thank you and we will definate visit the house again.

This was a comfortable and warm cottage in an excellent location. It was very clean and the host was amazing. She spoke very clear English and was immensely helpful. She also picked us up and dropped us back to the train station. It was in a quiet area with a scenic walk to the many shops etc. highly recommend a stay here.

Cosy is definitely an accurate description here! This was probably my favourite place to stay in Japan. The host was so lovely and helpful, and the house is so cosy and quiet. It is a bit out of town, but the host picks you up and drops you back at the station and, without your luggage, it is a nice 20 minute walk (or 10 min bus) back into town (and even closer to the World heritage site). We only stayed one night and were so disappointed that we hadn't stayed an extra night; it was a lovely break from the chaos of Tokyo. Would love to return.

Yoshiko is one of the best hosts I've ever had on Airbnb. Her place is lovely and she does a great job introducing you to Nikko. Her home was easily enough room for two people and the hot shower and bath was real nice. The location is steps away from the abyss trail, and a 10-15 minute walk to all the main shrines and temples. You walk through the neighborhood, which was really fun to see. I could not recommend this place more.

We came to Nikko for a stay to hike, watch a hockey game and have some dinner/drinks as a group of four friends. This was a nice, small cozy place; just as advertised. The hosts warmed up the place nicely for us before we got there, which was nice after a chilly hike. The shower is amazing and the place is very clean. The hosts provided us with lots of information about the area and were very kind and easy to work with. A good option for a stop in Nikko for us for the weekend.

The place is a little bit outside of the town but still walkable to all of the must visit place in Nikko. We have a wonderful time in Nikko thanks to Yoshiko who has helped us a lot during our first few days of the trip in Japan. Yoshiko was very helpful, she picked us up at the train station, suggested places we should visit, helped us out on our car rental deal, clean the place as well as opened up the heater for us when we were walking in the town. Even though we have to walk a little bit far from restaurants and all sightseeing in Nikko but with the generosity and hospitality we have gotten from the Host, it made their place is too good to be true with the price we have paid. Me and the other 4 of my friends have such a wonderful time spending at their place, thus, I'm truly recommending you to stay here.
