The space

We opened FU-SHA in September, 2007. We wanted to show people from all over the World the beauty, both natural and man made that Nikko offers.

We have an operating license.

This private Japanese style cottage has a small sitting room, a small kitchen, a large modern bathroom and can sleep up to 5 people. The rooms are Japanese style rooms with tatami mats and divided by fusuma(sliding doors). Japanese futons are laid on the tatami mats and they are very comfortable to sleep on.
There are a microwave oven, a toaster, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, an electric pot and tableware in the kitchen.
The bathroom has a big bathtub and a shower. In addition, there is an amazing Japanese high-tech toilet.

The cottage has a high speed internet( wireless).

My ancestors came to Nikko approximately 130 years ago and we have been living here ever since.
Therefor we have all the information on Nikko you would like to know and we are happy to share that with you.
We will happily provide a pick up from Nikko station.
The nearest bus stop, Nishi-sando(No 9), is 7 minutes walk from the cottage.

There are 3 car-rental company in front of Tobu Nikko station.

How to travel between Tokyo and Nikko.

By Tobu railway;
We recommend you buy the ALL NIKKO PASS. It is better than 2 DAY NIKK PASS because with 2 day Nikko Pass you can not go to Oku-Nikko area.

First of all, this felt like a proper Bed and Breakfast since our beds were made during the day while we were away exploring the natural beauty of Nikko. We had bread every morning and we even had a lift from and to the Nikko Station. She also gave us maps and recommandations. T…

We had a wonderful stay at Akio and Yoshiko's cottage. Yoshiko picked us up at the train station, answered all of our questions and even provided breakfast for us. The cottage is full of charm and very comfortable for a family of 4. We would highly recommend staying here!

Our host Yoshiko was amazing! We could not ask for a more generous host. She picked us up at the train station and provided us with pastries and fruit for breakfast each morning. She provided us with information on how to catch the bus to different locations and even recommended …

Their hospitality is second to none. This is a very comfortable place to stay and is very close to great trails and shrines. I would highly recommend here. My only regret is that my friends and I only stayed for one night.

It was a great experience. Yoshiko is a great host. She went to the JR Nikko Station and held us with the baggages. I totally recommend her.

We had a really great stay at Yoshiko's cottage - it was conveniently located with just a short (and very scenic) walk from the centre of town, and Yoshiko was a great host, leaving us breakfast and taking us to and from the station. It was the perfect place to stay while we were…
