Poggio del Fattore is situated at the eastern edge of the Chianti region in Valdambra, a green valley that joins the lands of Florence, Siena and Arezzo.
The farmstead is on the top of an hill and lies at the end of a long private road through a large olive growing estate; therefore you absolutely need a car.
The breathtaking landscapes and the location of the villa offer the privacy needed for a peaceful and relaxing holiday and a perfect departure point from which to explore central Tuscany.

The space
Poggio del Fattore has been the centre of an olive growing estate, with a farmhouse also used as an hunting lodge, for many centuries, until my family fell in love with the old house and its splendid panorama, purchased the property and turned it into an inviting country retreat.
Recent restoration sought to preserve the original structure while bearing in mind the needs of our guests, who will find here all the comforts they need for an authentic experience of rural Tuscan life, among the Chianti hills and cities of art.
My family deeply wanted to maintain the traditional production of olive oil, together with a small production of honey.

The property, enclosed by stone walls, consists of two buildings: the main farmhouse (Villa Marta), with the living area on the ground floor and 5 bedrooms upstairs, and the adjacent ground floor annex (Annex), with two bedrooms.
It is therefore able to accommodate groups of up to 12 people.

Poggio del Fattore is rented to one group at a time, as we intend to guarantee to our guests privacy, but also a familiar environment.
In our opinion, this goal can be achieved only if the family we host can have all the property and its facilities for its own.
For the same reasons, the Annex is only available for rent together with the main building, Villa Marta.
This means that if more than 8 people are coming (maximum beds of Villa Marta), we will rent to your group the adjacent cottage also (the Annex).
If not, the cottage remains closed (we are not going to rent it to another group!), so that you can have all the outside facilities only for you!

The property is fenced and therefore very safe for children who can play outside happily.
Animals are welcome!

- welcome basket. It normally contains (no extra charge; you will find everything in the kitchen before you arrive): our olive oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, spices, coffee, tea, pasta, tinned tomatoes and wine.
