Esk'et Tiny House is a custom-crafted cabin set at Esk'etemc First Nation.
Cozy up by the fireplace... Relax in the outdoor hot tub under the stars...

The space
Welcome to beautiful Alkali Lake, in the traditional territory of the Esk'etemc people.
Situated 45 minutes off the main highways (Hwy 97 and Hwy 20), this area is off the beaten path, and is a hidden gem.

We love this tiny house cabin, and we love our community.

The tiny cabin is completely self-contained, bright and welcoming, and includes full kitchen and bath, stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The main loft has a queen bed with lots of headspace, and the second loft has a gabled roofline with a double bed - both lofts are accessed by ladders.
The tiny house is built by us on a 20ft trailer, and the space is 280sqft, including the loft spaces.

Enjoy the outdoor hot tub with beautiful views! (all yours during your stay, operating year-round) Aaaaaahhhh... time to relax.
You have views of the valley and surrounding forest. Listen to the sounds of the nearby creek, the birds, or in the summer: crickets.

Spring/summer/fall - the wilderness is right at your doorstep. Head down to the falls and creek for a warm season dip (2min walk). Explore the area by walking or biking. Take a drive in the beautiful traditional territory - day trips to Churn Creek or Farwell Canyon are recommended.

Summer: wildfires are becoming a constant threat and smoke a possibility in our area in the hot dry season

Winter: we oftentimes get a good amount of snow and winters are beautiful - but of course snow conditions are unpredictable. Roads are generally maintained well, but you are encouraged to check DriveBC for current road conditions on your route.)

please note: we used to stock breakfast foods, but have discontinued that and adjusted the price - bring your own groceries for your meals and use the stove/oven or outdoor bbq to cook

Children are welcome! (under 12 stay free - for "number of guests" just include adults, and make a note in your booking)

Where you’ll be

Alkali Lake, British Columbia, Canada

The tiny house is located 2km away from the village centre of Alkali Lake (Esk'et).

It is in a semi-private location, with the main log house just behind it, and the dirt road below it.
(At the main house there are dogs, cats & horses - some of whom do wander down to the tiny house)

Please note: you are on traditional territory and within a First Nation's reserve community - cultural sensitivity and respect is required.

Listen to the sounds of the nearby creek, and keep your eye open for bears, birds and other wildlife in the field.
Take a driving trip to the Fraser River, and explore spectacular Churn Creek, Gang Ranch, and on to Farwell Canyon - the traditional territory is incredibly beautiful.
