This cottage had all the potential to be great, it looks fantastic when you’re driving up, it’s in a secluded area and has a nice sized lot. Unfortunately, it didn’t live-up to it’s potential. The cabin itself is furnished with the cheapest and most minimal amenities and lacks a …
Response from Will:
Hi Mario, I am very sorry to hear that your stay at the cabin was not as good as you had hoped for. I am very surprised to hear all of these negatives as most people that have stayed at the cabin have not found the same issues. 1. Keeping our cabin while heated when no one is there is wasteful and expensive, we would have to charge extra for people to stay there in order to cover the extortionate extra bills. The cabin heats up very quickly, it is kept at 60 degrees. Not sure why the smoke detectors were going off, may be due to low battery. However our cleaner plugged them back in after you left and had no issues. 2. Again keeping the hot tub heated while no one is there is expensive and a waste of energy, it normally is kept at 90 and takes a few hours to heat up to 101. I will review this with our cleaner to ensure it is kept at 90. 3. I am sorry your Fiancee is short, we have never had someone complain about this before. I myself am 5 foot and have never had issues getting in or out of the hot tub. The hot tub is placed in a spot that is private from our neighbours and where there is a view of Church mountain (this is all visible in the photos provided) All of our guests have had a great time in the hot tub. 4. There are plenty of pans, pots and baking sheets, all of which were purchased within the last 3 years, not sure why you feel they are old? 5. There are mixing bowls, sorry we do not have a cheese grater I will look into purchasing one, a french press works just the same as a coffee maker. 6. The kettle has calcium build-up, this is normal when you have fresh glacier water which is not filtered and chlorinated like city water, I will have the cleaner look into the crumbs, she is normally very thorough. I am not sure why you felt the need to use the pull out bed, this is not advertised on our listing and we do not expect people to use it (hence why it's not advertised). Especially when there were only suppose to be 2 people staying during your time at the cabin and there are 4 beds upstairs? Overall, we wish you had contacted us when you discovered these issues, we would have had our cleaner stop by to amend them. We were very unaware regarding all of your above points, during your stay.
