-Staying at the Deer Lodge is immersion in nature; away from the hustle and bustle of modern life in a quiet and serene setting. The property is located on the top edge of a wide valley surrounded by fields with only the entrance bordering a road.

-On the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in Wensleydale with easy access to all areas of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and close to Leyburn, Masham, Richmond and Hawes.

- An abundance of traditional villages nearby to explore, most with cosy country inns serving great food.

- Plenty of good walks of varying difficulty/length. I’ve got some good recommendations!

- A variety of nice restaurants/country pubs.

-Good selection of supermarkets within a 10 minute drive.

I was born in Yorkshire and spent most of my childhood in Ripon. After 20 years in America I moved back to the UK in 2012 to live and work on the family estate where I manage our holiday lets and take care of the grounds and woodland. I am a huge lover of the outdoors, hiking and nature in general, so feel very fortunate to live on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and get out on to the moors at least a few times a week! My work at High Parks is also a passion of mine so it's great to be able to welcome guests and see their enjoyment in the time spent here.
