1. Save the world! This house has been built with the ecology of our planet in mind, so please separate your re-cycling to the blue bin, put your landfill rubbish in the green bin and take your bottles to the bottle bank where the single track joins the main road at the entrance to the peninsula.

2. Please note that the cleaning fee is included in the overall price to make the house immaculate for you and for the next guests which takes 2 people all day long. The cleaners do not have time to do your dishes, clear food out of drains, the floor and off the table, picking your bags of rubbish off the floor. If you want hotel and restaurant service, this is not the place for you. If you want to stay in a unique, luxurious and wonderful home, and will treat it as your own, you are most warmly welcome. Any excessive cleaning will be charged at a flat £150 which will be removed from your damage deposit. If you want to be lazy or think this is unreasonable, please find somewhere else to stay.

3. We normally charge £50 per dog cleaning fee but we will waive this if you promise to do the following:
- keep dogs off soft furnishings
- keep dogs out of carpeted bedrooms (rest of the house has oak floors)
- keep dogs mess out of the garden
- vacuum up dog hair before you leave
We will claim £50 cleaning charge per dog out of the damage deposit if this is not followed

Beautiful views (10/10) and home decor (10/10). Slightly further away from the water (7/10) than we first thought but it was a nice walk (5/10). Clean and comfy bedrooms (10/10). High-quality bathrooms throughout with more stunning views (master bedroom sunrise for instance whilst you have a shower was amazing), plenty of hot water. Kitchen was well equipped and to a superb standard (10/10). Decent heating (appeared to be a renewable air source heat pump) + a log fire (with supplied wood) meant we were never cold (10/10). Local pub (Stein Inn) - good selection of drinks (130 whiskies) and friendly staff (7/10). Food was average at best (3/10). They did have a 32amp charger for our electric car though which was great. Chef ends at 8pm which we thought was a little early. Local Restaurant (Loch Bay) - Delicious food (7/10), we sneaked in on an early booking and food was great. Set menu of £37.50pp or £55pp. Local Restaurant (Edinbane Inn) - Good food (5/10), slightly strange staff (didn't tell us that multiple items on the menu weren't available until we ordered, went for a smoke after we had ordered drinks) but the food was good. It's about 8 miles at least to the pub which doesn't seem much but on the country lanes it soon adds up, especially when it's foggy and dark. We took a drive around Portree > Old Man of Storr > Staffin > Quiraing > Uig > Edinbane > Back to house and we saw Otters, Seals, various birds of prey, waterfalls, mountains etc. Well worth a drive or if feeling adventurous a walk (9/10) We also visited 'The Oyster Shed' at Carboost (near Tallisker Distillery) and found the food a little overpriced for such a basic business idea (6/10). Unfortunately, the neighbours are currently building a property so we had the noise of builders on a few of the days (whilst we were outside) but this wasn't a major issue. It is a shame the new house will be so close to SaltWinds. We will return again, I just hope you install a car charger for our electric car as it would make the house just that little bit more special and easier to access. Thank you

The email describing everything in the area was fantastic. Arriving to find a bottle of wine and farm fresh eggs was just what we wanted / needed. Overall the location and view was superb and the house was immaculate.

We can sum up our experience in one word: WOW! Everything was as described in the listing and there is nothing more you could wish for. Pure luxury in a most beautiful place. We highly recommend this place to everyone who just wants to get away and relax for a couple of days.

Hi Manuel, Thanks for your awesome review. We are so glad you enjoyed our place. Regards the internet, can I ask which type of services failed for you during your stay? The whole island has been fighting in vain for better internet for many years, but we are ignored by BT as the population is so small. Sadly the government won't subsidise an upgrade in the infrastructure either which makes living in such a remote place even more challenging. At least we have the ever changing spectacular views to keep us entertained :)

Our party of 5 (3 adults and 2 children aged 3 and 8) had a memorable and comfortable trip to Skye and enjoyed every moment on the isle as well as in the house. Despite the best efforts of the terrible weather during our stay the house provided a wonderful base to explore the isle as well as warm and spacious luxury after long days of adventure. The house has all the mod-cons you'd expect and we found everything in full working condition. The showers/baths were hot and had good pressure, the kitchen was a joy to cook in, the washer/dryer was pretty essential during our visit and we all appreciated the effort Tom made in providing a satellite internet connection. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and some delicious fresh eggs both of which were put to good use and Tom has provided clear instructions throughout the house that make it really easy to settle in. A selection of board games was put to good use and the boys spent a long time staring out into the bay with the binoculars provided. Tom also left a handy folder of laminated hikes for a range of abilities. The house is about 10 minutes walk from Stein which has a rock beach to explore and 2 restaurants. We also found it easy to travel to Dunvegan (restaurants, castle and the beautiful Coral Beach) as well as Portree which has many amenities. Tom provided us a lot of information about the house, the surrounding area and Skye which made booking the house a very easy decision. Our only issue was that 3 days was not enough time to explore and we'd all like to go back for a week in the future! Thank you Tom and thank you Skye.
