Okay. so let me begin with the positive feedbacks - amenities were fine. Everything was there, cutleries, fridge, washing machine, all complete. The location was quiet which was exactly what we were after. The room itself was big, it was meant to fit 4 people but we were only 3 so that made the room quite spacious for us.
Then, our communication with the host. check-in time was fine though I had to wait because according to David, the room hasn't been cleaned yet (i had to leave my bag to David and he said that he'll take it to the room, so thank you David) I know that the flat is like a hostel because the description said so. So I was asking David if there was anyone else in the flat AT THE MOMENT during my check-in time, David was accusing me for not being able to read the description on airbnb. I was a little confused and not sure if i did not articulate myself well enough but I did specifically ask if there was anyone else at the moment. anyway, turned out it was just a miscommunication. so later in the evening, 2 of my friends needed towels which we initially thought would have been there already. Part of this was my fault because I didn't request the towels early so anyway, we texted David and asked him if we could get towels on the same evening. He said no. Okay, fair enough. That's fine so we got our towels from Tesco. So, heading to the bathroom, we saw a sign by the door saying that "life is made of choices; remove your shoes or scrub the floor, thanks." I mean, signs like this are everywhere stick up on the wall, even in the kitchen, which almost imply that we had to clean everything on our own. Initially, I thought that this was necessary - to ensure the comfort of everyone who stays in the flat. but what we don't understand is the cleaning fee that costed £25 per room. I mean, surely if everyone is being alerted to clean everything on their own means that you can reduce the cleaning cost? But I'm not sure.
Anyway, it was a good stay. Though I'm not sure about coming again because it's quite stretched away from our main location, if ever, anyone is looking for basic accommodation with quiet environment, this is it! Thanks again, David & Helen. I hope to see you guys in future.
