These are 2 separate cottages, located 100 meters from road, at the edge of a reserve forest facing the snow mountains, with a view of both from all living spaces. The cottages are built built in traditional stone, mud and wood with modern interiors.

The space
The accommodation has 2 cottages:
The main cottage is built in traditional style stone and mud mortar, with very modern and warm interiors in mud plaster on the walls and wooden ceilings and floors. This cottage has an open plan, with dining area, flowing in to living space and wooden stairs climbing in to a large loft, ideal for children and young people to sleep or hand out. Beautiful wooden stairs descend in to the bedroom, with bay window. There are two washrooms, one attached to the bedroom and one to the loft.
The other cottage is constructed in brick masonry, with mud plaster and wooden ceiling and floors as well. This cottage has a living room, kitchen, and one bedroom, with washroom attached to the bedroom.

Guest access
If there are only 2 guests, they will be given the small cottage and more than 2 guests will be accommodated in the larger cottage. All the guests have access to the kitchen, living room, garden and above all, beautiful walks in to the forest as they step outside of the garden. The property is vegetarian, so please do not cook or get non vegetarian food from outside as well. The eggs are okay though.

Other things to note
Though winters are very beautiful and usually sunny, excepting the rainy and snowy days, evening can become quite cold. Our caretaker is happy to make you a fire in the winters months only.

During your stay
I do not live on the property and there is a caretaker, always happy to help and guide the guests. Though we do not serve food, the accommodation is well equipped for either the guests to cook, or the caretaker can organize cooking for the guests. He should be paid directly for these services.
As the ridge gets visitors from all over the world, there are good stores within a 10 minutes walk, which sell groceries for both Indian, as well as western cooking.
There are restaurants within walking distance, which serve Indian and western food.
The northern boundary of the property is flowing in to the forest, connecting you with the nature directly. You can go for beautiful walks in the forest on either side, with exquisite snow views and occasional wild life.
The owners are Rashmi Bharti and Rajnish Jain, a couple who made these mountains their home, and live another 100 kilometers northeast of this location.
