Come discover the vibrant creative and funly vibe of Paris Rive droite!!
Ideally located in a young and animated neighborhood, this comfortable flat offers all modern amenities (internet, washer, dryer, iron, fully equipped kitchen, linens of course etc...). It is located on a second floor walk-up but very luminous because of the low buildings on the street. It has one separate bedroom (on the courtyard, very quiet) that can sleep two people as well as a couch (not fold-out) and a small mattress (140 cm) ideal for a young child.
The appartment would be entirely yours. It is quite spacious (57 sq meters) and has hardwood floors, a chimney, an open kitchen, a full bath and separated toilets.
I love living in this neighborhood as you're a five-ten minute walk to the Canal Saint Martin, Belleville, the Marais or Bastille but still have a feel of a small "quartier" where people know youre name and say hello. Also, if you would want to step out without (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps, you'll find all the wine bars, gastropubs and restaurants you can wish for right at the foot of the building or in the next street. Newspaper stand (with a smile), pharmacy or typical boulangeries (I'll let you know the good one), 4 supermarkets (in case you're indecisive) complete the picture. And of course the "marché" where you can buy fresh fish and produce or chestnut jam every Tuesday and Friday mornings!
The neighborhood is also very well suited for a "holiday" rythm as, contrary to the French tradition, you'll find there is always something open, at all hours of day and night and on Sundays too!!
On a more cultural level you're 200 yard from the cultural center La Maison des Metallos, a few minutes from La Bellevilloise (concert hall and cultural events), close to Bastille's cinemas and of course walking distance from teh historical center of Paris (the Marais, Musée Carnavalet, Pompidou center etc....)
You'll be a fifteen minute walk north (the street goes up) to the parc des Buttes Chaumont ( a hilly 19th century delirium of a park ) and its famous open-air bar Rosa Bonheur or for a more quiet time the Père Lachaise cemetery, five minutes to the Canal Saint Martin, its bars (try Prune or Le comptoir général) and picturesque bridges (did you see "Amelie"?), or a ten minute walk down the the Marais (shopping on coblestones streets surrounded by a mixture of flamboyant men and stern rabbis is an experience not to be missed....)
Oh, did I mention that in case you do want to leave the neighborhood (which I hardly ever do now;..) the appartment is served by 6 metro lines (2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10) at the following stops (République, Parmentier, Oberkamps, Goncourt, Couronnes)?
I would be happy to welcome you in this nice flat and I hope you'll enjoy your stay.
