The space
Just 100 yards from the Caribbean, with world-class five-star restaurants literally across the road (Flying Fishbone, Zeerover), this unique house property features an outdoor kitchen, signature two-story deck overlooking the water, and small yet comfortable living quarters house with many amenities! Ocean View! 360 degree view!

This small cottage house features double bed, bunk beds next to it, microwave, brand new central air conditioning, hot water shower (many homes in Aruba do not have hot water!) gas grill, cooking burners, dishes and cooking utensils, 2 refrigerators (kitchen and in house), large yard with various sizes of awesome lizards and exotic birds, and the most amazing stars in the world as you watch from the second deck in the middle of a giant palm tree!

Adults and older children preferred because of the two-story deck and stairs. THIS IS STRICTLY A NON SMOKING property. WE ARE COMPLYING WITH ARUBA LAW AND WILL REQUIRE NEGATIVE COVID TEST within three days of arrival. We also will have sanitizers available for constant use. Bed has a luxurious 3" memory foam top. We have a 26" LG flat TV, mounted up in a high corner, which is set up to about 50 streaming mainstream channels via wifi. But we feel if you watch a lot of TV this may not be the place for you--you are in Aruba! (ha). Wireless internet is in place--the code is printed inside, and the island’s one internet household provider utility can be unpredictable. But again you are in Aruba--forget about emails! Just tell them it didn't work!

A public dock for sitting by and going into the water is close by (right across the road separating the house from the water), and walking distance to a number of small and private beaches. This is an entire private house where you can cook your own food, (remember this is a simple outdoor kitchen and it gets windy!) but the incredible restaurants close by and around the island are almost too good and too inexpensive to pass up!

Also..there is a brand new multi-station municipal outdoor gym about 100 yards behind us, so you won't exert yourself getting there! It is awesome and free and offers many ways to stretch and tire yourself out so you can lose weight--until you start eating and drinking heavily, or just walk around with your new buff body thanks to your stay at our place! There are also new municipal walking/jogging paths which go for miles along the main road.

The area is well south of the busy downtown and tourist areas, yet with a rental car you will be home from anywhere on the island in no time! Of course minutes from Baby Beach, Arikok National Park, and every attraction the island has to offer.

Bus service is not far away on a main road, and of course taxis and car rental is readily available. We get asked a lot about the need to rent a car--we think the bus service is so slow and taxi's are relatively expensive and a rented car really does take you to a lot of hidden exploratory spots on the island, and they are pretty cheap. To us it is worth the expense. Horseback riding, golf, ATV rental also on the island, and yes, close by is one of the island's few Domino's, Subway, and other USA-style fast foods. All beaches in Aruba are public, so you can cruise and use any resort beaches, but you will absolutely love the location away from the crowds!

Lounge on either of the decks--one has a giant coolaroo to shade you if you like--there is also a cool water outdoor shower hookup on the lower deck available and can be hooked up through a water hose. (It can get pretty warm in Aruba's direct sun!) We have also thrown down cushions and slept camping-style overnight on the deck levels. The swishing of the occasionally strong winds through the palm trees around the decks is soothing!

If you can find a house across the road in the area, they rent for $900 to $1600 USD per night--sorry we are so inexpensive! And with the lodging money you've saved that's a lot of first class food and wine for your whole trip! And maybe airfare (ha)!

An awesome and unique property providing everything you need for a fraction of the lodging prices on this beautiful island! We deeply appreciate all the great reviews! Thanks and welcome! Much love!

Savaneta, Aruba

This a residential working class neighborhood on the ocean. It should not be seen as a pristine tourist area with amenities, but is the real Aruba!
