The bungalow is a term fondly used by many Cape Bretoners to describe our summer vacation getaway.. We are located on beautiful picturesque Isle Madame on 100 acre lot with lots of privacy. 3 bedrooms, full bath, large kitchen/family room and den.

The space
The Bungalow is the perfect spot to unwind and become one with nature, read a good book or to use as a home base while touring Cape Breton Island on day trips. If golfing is on your agenda Dundee golf course is 33 km & The Lakes golf club Ben Eoin 96 km. If you enjoy Historical sites the Fortress of Louisbourg 161 km is a short day trip or for a longer adventure The World Famous Cabot Trail can be done. Isle madame offers some of the best coastal scenery with hiking trails, kayak rentals a beautiful sand beach and much more . Isle Madame has many groomed ATV trails or if fishing or boating is on your agenda we have ample room to park your boat or ATV trailer. For the motorcycle enthusiast the winding roads along Isle Madame and route 4 are sure to please. If you are visiting Isle Madame for the first time and just drive around the Island, it can be done in 30 minutes, but take the off roads to Javrans Island, Litte Anse, Rocky Bay, Porrierville. Explore our Beautiful Island. As natives of Isle Madame it comes natural to us because we know the area. We are a very friendly culture, Irish, French, English, Native, There will always be someone you can stop and ask directions, they will be more than happy to help.
Take the time to explore because that is why it is a "Magical Island"

Guest access
My guests will have access to a three bedroom home with a full size kitchen, 4 piece bath ,small den, laundry, screened in porch , deck, barbecue, fire pit for roasting marshmallows or just relaxing around a camp fire and acres of nature. I also provide high speed wireless internet,
3 flat screen TV's with Shaw Direct satellite (1 in the den and 2 of the bedrooms),

Other things to note
The Bungalow does not have a house phone and depending on the length of your stay and the weather you may see the people who do my lawn care. It is a fairly big property to maintain so lawn care must be kept up but wont start before noon unless there are special circumstances.

Isle Madame is a picturesque little island located off the southeastern corner of Cape Breton Island. A short drive to Arichat 3 km will put you in touch with Grocery stores, Gas stations, restaurants, NSLC, Fresh seafood market, Coffee shop, local crafts and museum and beautiful scenery. A 5 km drive to the east will take you to Pondville beach where you can spend the day in the sun and sand and be home again in 5 minutes. A 10 minute drive will take you to the North-side of the Island where kayak rentals are available at the Groundswell and a provincial day park. A drive through Petit de Grat to Boudreauville will take you to the head of the Eco trail which follows the ocean and features lagoons, dunes, salt marshes and sandy beaches. Whether you are a native of Isle Madame returning home to visit family and friends or a newcomer to our beautiful little Island who is looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday grind, we hope that you will consider making The Bungalow your home away from home while you are in the area.
