Other things to note

There is several place to visit on Tara. Visegrad-Bosnia and Herzegovina 22km away. Andrićgrad is an idea of Prof. Kusturica about a stone medieval city, inspired by works and characters of a nobel prize winner, Ivo Andrić. It is actually a vision of how Višegrad would have looked like if the Renaissance and other historical periods had not gone by it. In architectural terms, the city itself is a mix of different eras and styles that have changed through the history of this area: the Byzantine style, the Ottoman period, the Renaissance and classicism. During the walk through the main street – promenade, visitors will be able to return to the past, “it practically merges two periods – the Renaissance fragments with the Ottoman period and the Byzantine Empire.” Mokra Gora 41 km City made out of wood by the famous Serbian film director Emir Kusturica. He discovered the sunny hill of Mecavnik and built his fairy tale like town. End of January there is Film Festival with the workshops. We recommend this place for all folks who like to enjoy quietness, simplicity and a wonderful view. We had a great time at the cabin! Fortunately we met Bogdanka in person and enjoyed talking to her.

We visited Boganka`s cabin for 2 days this summer. When you drive in to the national park the cabin is easy to find if you follow the instruktions. The cabin it self is very nice and nicely situated in the hillside above the lake. It was very clean, tidy, and functional. Best sleep we had so far in our trip. The area is stunningly beautiful, with the forest, and the hiking possibilities. This was certainly great value for the money.

Wen't for a small travel through my home country Serbia with my friend and we stayed at Bogdanka's place for 2 nights. We were pleasantly surprised with the place. It would be best described as cosy and functional! beautiful wooden cabin with everything you need for a nice stay. The weather wasn't on our side unfortunately and it was changing every few hours, but while it was raining, we would just fire up the fireplace and play guitars, so it was all good. Loved it and would love to visit again! Highly recommended!

We didn't meet Bogdanka or Rasko, which was not a problem since everything was self-explanatory. We spend three nights in this wonderful house. It is remote and quite, plus it is quite a drive to get there, but it was exactly what we wanted and what was described. We hardly saw a human being, just sheep, cows and some flies. Jaw-dropping view on the lake from the terrace, where we used to have breakfast and dinner. Moreover, great location for good hikes. No wifi made it a perfekt opportunity to escape everyday life. 100% recommendation! Thank you Bogdanka!

We spent few days on Tara and we had a wonderful time. It was amazing! Perfect place for vacation and relaxing in nature. The house is beautiful, full equipped. The whole house is wooden. Bogdanka takes care on every detail in house and we love it! She is a very nice host, we hadn't met her, but she explained how to find house very well. We felt like at home. Zaovine is a special place, nature is wonderful. The surroundings is quiet. We met neighbor Raško and his family. They make cheese, bread and milk and you can by it from them. We met Bogdanka's sister Sofija and her husband. Great people! We will come back soon and recommend it to everyone!

Staying in Bogdankas sweet little house was a wonderful experience. The photos doesn't do the area justice. It's simply an amazing place to go for walks, explore the mountains and meet some of the most friendly and hospitable people you can imagine. The air is so fresh and all you hear is the sound of the bells around the cows neck. We will be back!
