Plum Tree Cottage is a delightful barn conversion nestled on the banks of the river Wear between Low Barns nature reserve one of the region’s most important wildlife sites and the picturesque historic village of Witton-le-Wear.

The space
This little piece of luxury is beautifully presented offering an eclectic mix of country comfort meets contemporary convenience.
Downstairs –
Living area.
The cosy but spacious open plan living area boasts a wood burning stove, under floor heating, comfortable seating, flat screen digital TV, DVD player, DAB radio with blue tooth and an array of games, books and DVD’s for your entertainment.
Kitchen.
A well equipped kitchen with electric hob, oven, full size fridge freezer, microwave, slow cooker, washing machine and separate dining area with table and comfortable seating for four people.
Wet-room.
Includes WC, wash hand basin and walk-in shower making these facilities suitable for those with limited mobility.
Upstairs -
Bedroom.
Offering twin or super-king beds (travel cot available on request). En-suite shower, WC and wash hand basin with stunning views of the river and countryside beyond.
Outdoors –
Garden.
The cottage is situated in a private half acre site directly adjacent the river Wear and laid mainly to lawn, a stone patio with picnic table is provided with fantastic views overlooking the river. Private fishing is available by request. Off road parking is available for two cars.

Guest access
Our guests will have full use of a private half acre site complete with off road parking, out door dining space and BBQ. A secure on site lock-up is provided for cycles and the property has the benefit of private fishing.

The cottage is directly adjacent the river Wear and access is restricted for children unsupervised.
