Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
A stretch of golden sandy beach awaits you on the ocean shore in Toney River. Shallow waters with sand bars at low tide make this a safe place for children to swim and play. Watch the fishing boats sail by while you sit on the expansive front deck, or search for beach glass. Enjoy the warmest waters north of Virginia on the Northumberland Shore of NS.

The space
This is an exceptional cottage set on 4 acres with a view of the Northumberland Straight. Cottages like this are almost impossible to find for rent during the summer.
We open ours up when we are not there so others can enjoy this little piece of paradise.
The gorgeous sandy beach makes up the front acre of the yard. Sunsets are the best part of the day! Preference is weekly rental to families wanting a beach vacation or visitors to the area looking for waterfront home base. There are only a couple homes on this beach so it is a terrific spot. Walk along the 1km beach in the morning or evening!

Where you’ll be

Toney River , Nova Scotia, Canada

15 minutes to shopping, liquor store and the historic town of Pictou. Also 15 minutes to River John and 25 minutes to some excellent dining in Tatamagouche. PEI ferry 20 min away and you can watch it crossing in the distance. Cruise ships entering Charlottetown Harbour can be seen during summer months. The sunrise trail is a lovely look into rural coastal life in NS
