Beautiful craftsman home in a great location! This home is in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Santa Barbara. Centrally located yet in a peaceful, quiet, safe, beautiful, family-friendly neighborhood.
Three bedroom home (queen in master, twin bed in bedroom 2, twin bed in bedroom 3) with 1 ½ bathrooms, family room, and living room. Good size back yard with a beautiful mountain view, and has an outdoor shower. Hardwood floors in most of the house. Master bedroom looks out to the mountains. You may help yourself to whatever is ready in the vegetable garden or on the fruit trees. We have a gas BBQ as well as a washer/drier. Kitchen is stocked with whatever kitchen gadgets you need, including plates, silverware, etc. There is a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, stove, oven, and dishwasher for your use. Free WiFi. Television and DVD in master bedroom and family room has television as well.
Within walking distance to hiking trails, school playground, parks, grocery stores, great restaurants, cocktails, massages, coffee, and the best book store in the area.
A 5-10 minute drive to shopping at Paseo Nuevo and La Cumbre Shopping Center, Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens, the Mission, Santa Barbara Natural History Museum, spas, and movie theaters.
10 minute drive to the beach (you are welcome to borrow our surf board and boogey boards).
8 minute drive to downtown where there are movie theaters, wine tasting rooms, numerous stores and restaurants, rock climbing gym, the Santa Barbara Court House, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, and much more.
Less than 15 minute drive to the Santa Barbara Zoo, UCSB, various farmers’ markets, SB Airport, Stern’s Wharf, the Harbor, and the Ty Warner Sea Center. Rent paddle boards, kayaks, ride the Landshark, go on a sunset cocktail cruise, ride Lil' Toot with the kids, walk on the breakwater-there is something for everyone.
35 minute drive to Santa Ynez, vineyards, more wine tasting, casino, seasonal fruit picking, ostrich farm, and miniature horse farm.
July 31-Aug 4 2013 is Santa Barbara’s Old Spanish Days ("Fiesta"), a popular annual event in Santa Barbara which celebrates Santa Barbara's history. We are within walking distance to El Mercado Del Norte, a festival featuring carnival rides, food booths, live music, and dance performances. We are a 5 minute drive to Earl Warren Showgrounds, where you can watch a rodeo. You can also bike or drive downtown for various fiesta events, to include The Fiesta Parade, and Children’s Fiesta Parade. If you would rather not celebrate, and are looking for a quieter get away, there is still so much to do, and we can point you toward many fun activities away from the action!
You are welcome to borrow our surf board and bikes. We are within walking distance to the bus line, which will take you most places in Santa Barbara and Goleta. The train station is also nearby (about 3 miles away).
