Our home is a beautiful Victorian duplex in the center of the Twin Cities! We are close to EVERYTHING in Minneapolis and St. Paul -- restaurants, shops, parks, trails, libraries, etc. AND we are just two blocks away from public transit!
Our place has all natural hardwood floors and beautiful large bay windows. EVERYONE who walks in to our home comments on the gorgeous light that flows in, as well as how open and inviting the space feels.
The master bedroom (queen bed) and attached bath have recently been renovated and have lots of storage space. The 2nd bedroom is a beautifully decorated family room. (Blow-up bed upon request.) The windows in the 2nd bedroom let in a ton of gorgeous light and is great for lounging around in during the day. It's also a great place for little kids, as the room is carpeted. This room can also easily fit a travel crib and/or pack n play, which we can set up for no extra charge.
Our kitchen is HUGE, and since our local co-op and liquor store are just a stone's throw away you can enjoy tasty local meals in the comfort of your own space. OR, if you'd rather eat out, there are several amazing options within 5 minutes walking distance!
The porch out front is perfect for drinks and conversation after a day of work or exploring the Cities, and out back is our charming backyard patio complete with twinkly lights, a chiminea, BBQ grill, and a playhouse for kids. (Oh, and across the street is the neighborhood playground, complete with all sports amenities.) All in all, our place is perfect for any kind of traveler!
You will have access to our entire bottom floor with your own entryway. We will not be there when our guests are, but we will always be available for questions when needed.
Interaction with guests
In addition to our great space, you will have as little or as much interaction with us as you want. Our job is to make you feel like our home is your home!
Fresh sheets and linens will be provided.
Other things to note
All in all, our place really has it all for ANY kind of traveler -- students, professionals, families, and adventurers. We look at this experience as a true cultural exchange, and have really enjoyed becoming a part of the airbnb community!
We hope to meet you soon!
Jonna and Peter
Treat our house as if it were your own (assuming you take care of your stuff ;)) and we should be all good. Also, NO smoking and extra guests who aren't mentioned at the time of arrival.
We are a couple who LOVE to travel, have lived abroad (Ireland, Indonesia, & Japan), and don't want the fun to end just because we have kids. We're therefore looking at our hosting experience as a great way to meet cool, new people, AND have an excuse to travel! We also love live music, taking hikes, playing tennis, eating good (and spicy!) food, drinking libations, and making our kids laugh (and anyone else for that matter).
