My husband Ian and I bought our small holding nearly 10 years ago. There was nothing on the site only a run down derelict corn shed. We purchased a new luxury static caravan, this is where we lived for 5 years while we built the farm and renovated the derelict corn shed. in 2009 I started a non profit organisation called farm2grow to help people with health issues access nature (eco therapy). As a qualified counsellor and a background in community development this seemed like a perfect match. More recently I have become interested in using food in combination with nature as a healing modem and so studied and qualified as a Natural Juice Therapist. We have a large polytunnel and a forrest garden where we grow fruit and veggies (without the use of chemicals). We also planted over 100 fruit trees in one of the fields and entered into a High Level Stewardship agreement with Natural England to conserve the other two fields and so we have rare breed cattle, and other animals on the farm for conservation purposes. We also have honey bees to help pollinate the trees. It is common to see ground nesting birds on the land and our campers and visitors seem to enjoy bird watching and getting up close to the animals. We now have completed the house and have decided to let our former precious home (static caravan) to our visitors. It is fully functional with internet access and is self contained with central heating for use during cold weather. Baileys barn farm has a web site as does farm2grow. PLEASE NOTE: The touring caravan, which we also advertise with Airbnb does NOT have Internet, only the Static caravan has Internet access.
