My boyfriend and I stayed at Renee's place for a few nights. The communication between us and Renee was good; she provided us with instructions to get to her place from the airport (and let us arrive at an earlier check-in) and she checked in with us (via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)) a couple times to make sure everything was okay. Her daughter greeted us at the apartment and gave us directions to Sacre Coeur, the supermarket, etc. The apartment itself is quite small (a bit smaller than we were expecting, based on the pictures) and is on the 6th floor of a really old building (no elevator). Also, the toilet is down the hallway outside of the actual apartment. Despite this, the apartment is cozy and had everything we needed. There is a shower, microwave, wardrobe, table, two small chairs, and a small kitchenette with a stove, mini-fridge, pots, plates, glasses, and cutlery. It is well situated near a metro station and is on the edge of a vibrant neighbourhood. Our towels and bedsheets smelled of cigarette smoke (but were clean) and the wifi did not work very well for us; it took a long time to connect and was spotty. All in all, this is a decent spot for travellers looking for a budget accommodation in Paris.

It is a nice place to stay at as student. It about 30 minutes from the center with a combination of walking and the metro. The kitchen is equipped with basic necessities. The shower is very clean. Several laundromats are close by. The 6 flights of stairs can be a hassle, especially when you're moving in and out since you have to carry all your luggage. The toilet is separated from the room, and it is shared with 3 other rooms on the 6th floor, but it was always clean, and I never had a hard time accessing it. My only issue is that there is no exhaust in in the kitchen, and since it's a small space, some smoke from cooking will cause the fire alarm to always go off. Maybe that's just my issue. Renee was very kind in mapping out the area for me, and letting me know how to get to school. Although, it was very hard to reach her for the rest of the stay and for check out. Overall I had a good stay.

Renee is a great host. She waited for us in the apartment, explained everything, left us maps and brochures. The place is exactly as the pictures really small but with everything. Is tall to climb the stairs but it's announced! I would recommend this place! We spent a glorious honeymoon there...

I stayed for almost three months in this charming little studio, and liked it a lot. Although this mansard room is simple after all, it comes with all the essentials one needs to have a good time in Paris. The bed is more comfortable than expected and it also caters well for two. During hot summer nights, the fan is definitely a game-changer, and though it can be quite capricious at times, it never failed me. Finally, the view at Sacre Coeur’s campanile is definitely a plus in atmosphere. The area, too, is nice, very authentic and with plethora of lovely wine bars just a short walk down the street. And, importantly, the metro connection is superb – it could be hardly any better. The only negative comment I have concerns the internet which is ultra-slow and very prone to disruptions. It should not be too difficult to change that, really! Still, all in all, I would definitely come back.

Response from Renée:
I have found the keys in the mailbox. Thank you I again apologize a thousand times for the confusion on the day of arrival. I was not in Paris and my daughter as you expected. I hope you will keep good memories of Paris despite all these inconveniences Best wishes for your future

As a couple in their 20's this place was perfect for us. It had everything we needed for a week long stay in Paris and everything was as described. Renée gave good directions and greeted us on arrival with a drink and information about the area. Clean towels and sheets were provided and the studio itself was very clean. Thanks Renée!
