This is a bright and airy walk-up apartment in a tong lau, or traditional old building, in one of Hong Kong's coolest areas for art and culture. It is next door to the Sai Ying Pun MTR station. Sai Ying Pun is one the oldest neighbourhoods on the island and it is now in the early stages of gentrification. There are many cool restaurants and cafes and you're within walking distance of Central.
This is a newly renovated 480 sq foot 1-bedroom apartment in a recently refurbished building (scaffolding is gone!). It's very bright with lots of windows and relatively open/uncluttered spaces for a flat this size. I have sleeping mats for a third person if needed. This is an 8TH FLOOR walk-up apartment, there is NO LIFT.
You'll have access to the entire flat, but please respect my privacy and do not open the closets or storage areas. There are places for you to hang clothes.
Interaction with guests
You will be met at the apartment by my assistant, who will give you the keys, show you the apartment, and be on call should you have any questions. She is available to do a weekly cleaning/linens during longer stays if requested. Please arrange timing with her.
Other things to note
THERE IS NO LIFT IN THIS BUILDING!!! The flat is on the 8th floor, which is accessed via stairs.
The mattress, while of a good quality and condition, is exceptionally firm. This may not be to everyone's liking.
- THIS FLAT IS ON THE 8TH FLOOR AND THERE IS NO LIFT. STAIRS ONLY.
- This is a strictly NO SMOKING flat.
I love the outdoors, sea air and blue sky, but I also enjoy cities. I like motorcycles and boats. I like my whiskey straight and rum dark. I enjoy heavy seas and despise light jazz. I am from Canada.
