Simple and charming cottage close to nature

The space

Close Arboga, this small, cozy cottage built in the early 1800s with the natural garden.

The standard is simple and relaxing.

There are hot and cold running water and sewage indoor, a outdoor toilet and a sunheated shower in the garden. You can also go to the swimingpool in Arboga to take a shower if weater is to bad.

In the summer evenings you can relax in the hot water of the whirl bath or just fill the bath tube with hot water, if that suits you bette

The cottage is located eight kilometers from the cozy little medieval town of Arboga by both train and bus stations, restaurants and shops. It is two kilometers from Arbogaån and six kilometers from the nearest lake. Half an hour away is Örebro, Västerås with restaurants and entertainment. But also lots of beaches in both Hjalmaren and Mälaren.

The house is timber but Falun red panel on the outside and on two floors plus a simple loft. There are two fireplaces and a wood stove to burn in if you want to cozy up properly on the front of the small hours.

There are plenty of elk, fox, lynx, and an abundance of birds in forests and fields around it.

Annas cottage lies in the middle of Swedens most beautiful nature, surrounded by forests, fields and nearby lakes. The cottage is very old and beautiful, with surprisingly much space. It is very simple and completely charming. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Anna is a very nice host, she kept contact and was very eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible, though we didn't meet her in person. The place is very quite, nice surroundings. If you need a place to escape all the trouble and noise from your daily life, than this is for you. Don't expect any luxury, this is like a swedish 'Sommerstuga' should be in my opinion, it's like getting back to the roots, but don't be afraid, there is electricity and warm water. Also don't be afraid of the outdoor toilet, some people are, it does not smell, like many think, and doing your 'affairs' outdoor in the little cabin also is a little bit like a meditation, listening to the sound of nature outside, quite and relaxing. Sounds stupid maybe, but it really is ;) We enjoyed our stay very much!

We stayed 3 nights in that lovely and cosy old house and we enjoyed the simple and calm life in the countryside. We didn't meet Anna personally but she was very caring and helped us when we had problems to find the place. We highly recommend to stay at Anne's place.

We had a pleasant stay, great garden, beautifull view and we even saw a moose. Despite the weather we enjoyed the place!

What a nice and special place in the middle of nowhere! Annas cottage was perfect for our 2-day stay near Arboga, we felt like home and had a great time. Anna is a really friendly and caring host - she always answered quickly and offered everything we needed during our stay.

We had a very relaxing week in early September living a simple life. The cottage was full of character with forest walks just outside. It was clean and warm with a well equipped kitchen and plenty of hot water. It was, indeed, cosy! Outside showers were fun! Anna was in touch during the week to check we were OK. We think we saw a moose in the distance across the fields. Arboga is vey close - recommend Restaurang Ågården sitting by the river.

We spent 3 gorgeous days in Anna's cottage; the house is located next to beatific woods and offers a lawn with table and sandbox to hangout and listen to the birds. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay and a very charming and personal touch. We'd definitely recommend it to everyone looking for authentic Swedish adventures.
