The area is a tourist hot spot with various weekly activities including the outdoor market.
I have a tastefully decorated bedroom with all the amenities. Fresh linens adorn a comfortable queen size bed. A mini fridge is located in the room stocked with bottled water. Additionally, you have your own television for private viewing to catch up on news and follow your favourite programming while your away. Other amenities include, towels, face cloths, soap, shampoo and the emergency hygiene products left at home such as toothbrushes and paste.
As a guest I want you to feel comfortable, a home away from home, feel free to wonder around. While smoking is prohibited in the house, smoking is welcome outside on the deck. Need a bit of exercise, we do have an Elliptical exercise machine available for use.
Interaction with guests
Not sure where to go or what to do upon arrival, feel free to ask away... lots of things to do locally.... just awaiting on you! Check out the following link for the local Calendar of Events for the Annapolis Royal area.
Located in the community of Granville Ferry, you will feel right at home going for a morning or evening walk looking at the various heritage homes bordering the oldest road in North America.. Granville Road. A short walk into Annapolis Royal along the tidal causeway awaits you.
There is a local bus and route available for touring the Annapolis Valley and area. Ask me about a private tour of the most popular wineries, micro breweries and tourist attractions of the regional area, as time provides me, I'm always willing to show you around.
Other things to note
While I'm not a visitor center, I do have a few dozen brochures/pamphlets of the most popular attractions on site for you to peruse and have. When possible you will always be invited to share a dining experience with me here in my home. The culinary arts has always been a passion of mine, bring the wine and pull up a chair!
Don't have too many of those pesky house rules, other than respect quiet times from 11 pm through 8 am. And, the biggie here... don't let the cat out, regardless of what he, known affectionately as "Buddy", tells you! Buddy is a adult Lynx Point Siamese, supposedly non allergenic, well so far... he loves attention and will be sure to greet you right away upon your arrival! Please enjoy our hospitality. While we don't include meals, it is often customary to invite you to join us for breakfast and or other daily meals.
