About this listing
Once an operational B&B, this honeymoon suite has amazing views and loads of character. In the heart of quaint Granville Ferry you can unwind on the waters edge, talk to seals, watch ospreys, blue herons and bald eagles and be awoken by the roosters of the sea. A jacuzzi with a rock waterfall awaits (really) in your large bathroom. Your room has a separate entrance at the back of house. Queen bed, bar fridge, keurig, gym, garden, fire bowl, laundry...
Your room is located on the backside (waterside) of the house on ground level. You share the entrance to the house with a full-time tenant (Wendy, she is awesome!) but your room is entirely private (has a lock as well but not needed in Granville Ferry). Laundry is just down the hall - and a well-equipped gym to boot - something good to do while your washing clothes ;)
Your room, the backyard, laundry room, gym. My personal kitchen is not available for use but you never know what could happen. There is a bar fridge and coffee machine in the room.
Interaction with guests
If I am at home I am at your service! If we're feeling lonely we can have a drink or dinner together or you can just go hermit style and we don't even have to see each other - up to you.
Granville Ferry is a picturesque, quiet old village - a great place to unwind. Lots of local attractions to see and things to do: Town of Annapolis Royal is a 15 minute stroll away, tidal power generating station (of which you have a great view from the backyard), Port Royal Habitation (one of the first European settlement in N. America). There is lots more to do and know, check out your info sheet in the room and let's talk.
The local bus stops a mere two minute walk away. If urgent I can also help out with commuting. Local taxi: . I have a bicycle you are welcome to use as well.
Other things to note
A review from a lovely guest that was unable to post her review within the 28 day expiry time:
"I had a terrific stay in Philipp's unique home. The room was spotless, and very comfortable. Having a fridge in the room was great, and I was pleased that I could make my own tea. I appreciated that dishes, glasses and cutlery were available. And chocolates on the pillows was a wonderful touch. And after a long week of hiking and many miles of driving, I loved the opportunity for a long hot bath in the most unique tub! The patio had a fantastic view across the river to Annapolis Royal, and was a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Philipp was a fantastic host. He is a wonderful, easy going man, with a constant smile, who went out of his way to make sure I enjoyed my stay in Granville Ferry - which I absolutely did! Philipp, I wish you continued happiness and success - thank you for making my time in the Annapolis area so enjoyable!"
Easy going household. Cleanliness and courtesy go a long way...
